  • Chill- Lemme break it down as simple as I can on some of us here. The IHoP is like a big dysfunctional family. -M5 would be the uncle everyone respects and takes advice from. We may not like how he p

Personally, I'd rather go more into the full range horn setups something along the lines of what Cain & Cain has done.

I'd like to make more audio geared toward the masses. Sure $20k in speakers are cool, but who has the money for that kind of thing? A good full range setup will surprise a lot of people as to the quality it produces, sacrifice a little bit of space and get some pretty decent sound out of nice looking enclosures that sounds a hell of a lot better than anything best buy will ever sell.

plus 7 foot tall speakers give mad bragging rights

Naaa, it just gets arsehos to ask why you can't fit more speakers in it. People who comment on why I didn't put more speakers in my BIB's make me want to shoot them and hide the bodies in the enclosure.

you and Jim and Scott have been making me want to build some BIBs

It might not be the wisest choice to write papers when drinking... This might be interesting especially when I just flat out don't give a chit. :)

it should be fine as long as you can edit it while sober

Honestly Tom, don't build them. They are a complete pain in the ass to move. Unless you have a long bed truck to move and a couple friends or a hand cart, don't bother.

Build something more reasonable.

Or if you have the room, want a party system that'll go well into the subsonic range, go for it. :)

HMMMMMMMM Ryan...........email me pics of the BIB's

I never really seen them.

Might I add waking early to go to 'work' at 0830 sucks ass. It sux even more ass when u don't actually leave FOR 'work' till after lunch.

God I wish I'd of just stayed in my rm this mrning.

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about, but it sounds like cheap home audio stuff, I just finished my partsexpress Tritrix towers with a few mods from the original, 6.5"s instead of 5.5s, and a couple mods on the xover design to fit the new 6.5s... sounds awsome... I spent about 20 hours wetsanding with 2000grit to get that piano gloss finish

Cost isn't everything. Performance is.

If cost was everything we'd all have either JL audio. Or maybe the MTX Jackhammer.

Touche................sorry man just percieved it as a "well I got this and did that so I am better than you" type deal.

My bad bro.

Sean: If I could get the mounting depth, cutout diam, flange diam, and the distance the wiring terminals are apart. If you could get me those that would be fantastic. :)

Mounting depth 9/16"

Cutout Diameter 1 7/16"

Flange diameter -- flangeless compression fit cup

Terminal distance -- not really applicable as they are wires that come out from under the plastic frame, but nonetheless 1 11/32"

Apparantly a guy can't sit out in forty degree weather wearing a t-shirt, shorts and sandals and nosh on a Frosty without people lookin at em weird

(Thats 7-10C for you weird types)

Come to MN, people will expect it.

Yeah but then the salt would rot my car away in no time

Only if you are too lazy to wash it.

Day is approaching the end. I hope there are a few packages waiting at the door when I get home.

Depending on the date, I will drive down to see Sean for a house-warming party, especially if there are a few of us going.

Now this is starting to look like something we can surely plan!!

are we still planning on the summer thing?

If that is a better time...and/or both. So what'll it be?
