anyone know what the proper name for the heaters that look like a torpedo and run off kerosene is? we call them lizards and ours tore up today so i need to find a new one but don't even know what to search for

just found out about some "Old tube mcintosh amps, sitting on the shelf with other old stuff like a 15+ year old B&K analyzer"

might be able to pick up some very nice gear, gotta talk to the guy directly though

What model analyzer? I have a full gamut of manuals for all of them. My guess would be a 2144 FFT analyzer or a 2032 Realtime as they were the most prevalent "box" analyzers. Anyway throw out the model number and I can give you the skinny on it and its value. ;)

Nipco (sp?) is what we call them in this part of the woods. Mine isn't lighting, but it worked swell last week.

...Now you've got my attention :D

I saw that, I've heard of Cuban hams doing the same thing because of supplies shortages...insanely cool.

Although you'd have to have some serious balls to do that with transmitting tubes, I don't know if I'd trust a kV or more on something I built like that :P

Laptop hard drives are so unreliable. My work one went out on me last week.

Ive never had a issue with a laptop HD.

On another note...new pics up of the new Hybrid tweets.
