Cash can actually sometimes hurt the negotiation as they make money in finance. I'd actually tell them you plan to finance with them and when it comes time in finance pay cash. What will make the salesman move is to be firm with your offers and 100% prepared to walk away if you don't get the deal you want. 9 out of 10 car deals I make, I get up to leave at least 2x in the process of negotiating.

I can't imagine, with as much as people think you can be an Mr. mean-ass on the internet, I bet a car negotiation would be popcorn worthy

Guy tries to tell me that downfire in a truck decreases output and sound quality then when I asked for frequency response graphs he tells me they don't matter and SQ is completely in the ear of the beholder.

Donno if a new(er) Implala is in your sights but lemme say this about the '07 Impala

I am 5'10 and 185............not a HUGE guy but not Matt either (J/P)................The car drives well, is smooth steering and with the Flex fuel engine it got hella great gas milage, and has a danm big trunk.

The down sides were acceleration and the radio..................stock sucks as wel all know, but this was total shit, and its ONLY plus was the auxilary input for my iPOD................as for the acceleration..........it just wasn't there............took off slow, and just nopt enough umph for me................

Hope that is some how SOME help

Only problem with those is that I am trying to get away from the severe cheap GM plastic. The '07's on the lots here are rental returns that the dealerships bought at auctions, and we all know how we drive rental units. There are a TON of them on the lots here and in BC!

Yea............for 2 grand I really cannot argue..........its the "Special Edition" model..........sun roof, remote unlock, leather interior, JVC Chameleon (that will end up in the For Sale area), and new tires.

It does need to have some paint on the inside (had some F&F pain work done by his brother)

Funny, they never put a six in it. The 3.0L in that year was also a v8.
