Got pre-approved for a $280,000 mortgage w/ a $50,000 down payment today ... Yays :D

Buys you a two bedroom condo here, maybe, just maybe a 750sq. ft. house. Market is higher there, so, what are you looking at?

~2000 sq.ft house (2.5 bed, 1.5 bath, 2 floors) w/ 900 sq. ft shop, 2-car garage, and a small yard in town right beside a park and close to schools.

It's called a BFH

There is a crimper . 4608.jpg

But at $40-$100, fark all that noise. Here's my billy' way. Strip the end of the wire first, about 1/2" or so. I clamp the ring end in a bench vise. Blast the barrel with the torch until solder will melt. Then fill the barrel about 3/4 of the way full of solder. Then jam the stripped wire into the solder filled barrel. Takes a couple seconds to solidify completely. :)

I forgot to add that my method is for the ring terminals with the closed end at the ring. If your using the ones with both ends open. I usually use a coal chisel and a bfh :)

Sounds like a hella of a house man!!!! Congrats!!!!!

Is it in need of some repairs such as plumbing, or the roof? Cause things like that can be VERY costly

Though, because you brought it up I would love to do a cost analysis to see how long it would take for the vehicle to pay itself back

it won't ever.

That's what Sean was saying unless all the costs associated with owning that car are free, it would still be less to own oone car. I have had this same discussion with the soon to be W and go over the math every 3-4 months.

My dad bought a brand new Hyundai Accent, and the car payment + fuel cost is still less than his 97 Z-71's fuel costs was...

Still have the Z-71 for fishing excursions and whatnot...

He is at an extreme where he drives a lot of miles

200 miles a week is extreme?

Those things are freaking expensive over here :(

Rather pricey here as well. :(

there was a hard rain storm last night... and I was driving my newly Ram and foamed truck and I noticed something... not one drop of sound from the rain came through the roof. I was amazed.

Sweetness and light!

I also got the GF the new xsi camera. She was happy. I think she will be showing me her appreciation all this weekend, repeatedly I hope.

I use a vise & a screw driver to crimp, then the 150W soldering iron to solder it.

Jmac, a house like that would cost $500,000-600,000 here, fack, hope you get it! Where on the island are you???

DeepSubBoy = village idiot.

I gots ideas for crazy hard bang yo :(

need stimulants.... now... ack.. no coffee. I'm even willing to drink work coffee.
