OK, you can figure out the complex impedance of a series circuit using a right triangle and calculating the net effect of the capacitive and inductive reactance, but what's this shit about admittance?

I bought a Loc-R-Bar for the Ranger and the instructions say to use a 1 3/8" hole cutter for a drill. Basically I am not super excited about drilling into the gel coat since it is so purty. Any recommendations for me?

Sounds like a job for a Uni-bit, although there's probably some specific marine tool just for that purpose :)

I can't say I want to pay $80 for a 1.5" Unibit

lol, a friend and I were just trying to figure out wtf admittance is a couple days ago. we think it's just inductance in an AC circuit.

Basically

Gas For Z-71 + Insurance on Z-71 > Gas For Hyundai + Insurance for Hyundai + Payment For Hyundai

But you still have the Z-71 so therefore you aren't saving the insurance

See, the Z-71 liability only low mileage coverage + Hyundai coverage is still less than the Z-71's full coverage was

Isn't it the inverse of the impedance?

Ramos,

I bought a Loc-R-Bar for the Ranger and the instructions say to use a 1 3/8" hole cutter for a drill. Basically I am not super excited about drilling into the gel coat since it is so purty. Any recommendations for me? Also, if you know of something better than the Loc-R-Bar it is returnable still, but I do want some extra protection for my rodz.

The Loc bar is fine. Before you drill, wipe the area down with some degreaser. Use good masking tape, and lay two layers ( criss cross ) down as smooth as possible over the intended hole area. Leave several inches of overhang so the shavings from the cut don't scratch the surrounding gel coat. Hole saw is easier to do it with than a unibit actually :)

Hole saw>unibit in this situation. The material is rather thin and cuts well once taped up. :)

Winnar !

Next week I'm going to study all that crap for the final. Lucky me :suicide-santa:

Whats the inverse of cinnamon toast crunch?

....maybe...

EE folk...can never trust 'em...:peepwall:

Ran out to grab some painters tape today to tape up the front end of the 300 for my road trip this coming weekend. Should be able to get some nice pictures in the mountains for you guys.

where ya headed?

I'm probably going to tape up the front of the Imp for my trip too

Back to BC - leave 5AM Friday morning and should be back Monday afternoon.

Based on my past experience with tape and driving on the highway ... it really helps.

do you just use the blue masking tape?

and does it leave any residue?

Never taped up my cars.........might be an idea when i move

You need a new insurance agent....big time.
