Now why the hell would you want to move to KS? Theres really not a whole lot that appeals to most people in this state. Its a big change from Hawaii, Florida to KS.

God I hated Kansas.

No offense, but you're about the only cool thing I know from kansas. I'm sure there are more, but jesus was it awefull driving through there.

I mean hell, me being here isn't to much of an incentive. But if you do come here I'll imagine you'll be at Ft. Riley so you'll be living in Manhattan/Junction City area so you'll be right around me.

And Fort Riley would be an idea, but honestly after visiting 2 years ago.........and my new NCOIC being there last.......nah i will pass.

And as for the German beer, that is a draw, but going someplace where I don't pretty much immediatly go to Iraq is more of a draw. Plus I could of gone to Germany earlier this year.

Yeah......Ft. Riley sucks. Junction City (which it is near) is, IMO, the worst city in kansas. Leavenworth would be better, but you have to realize that there is a maximum security prison there. Those types of towns usually have a different air about them. However, I don't know if you have to live on the base or not, but Leavenworth is in a decent part of the state so you could take your pick from a bunch of nice places within a 30 minute drive of there. Plus it's right outside of Kansas City, so you have lots to do there. This is my neck of the woods, btw, I only live about 30 miles from Leavenworth.

Hawaii would be really nice, but expensive. Median income is about 10k more than the rest of the country. Florida has good parts and bad. I'll let those who live there chime in (if anybody does, haha). I've been there once, to Orlando, and I thought it was pretty cool. All tropical and lush and exciting. But I was just visiting, so not sure how it would be living there. And it does have some pretty bad parts. I just read an article today that the panhandle of Florida is like the center of sex trafficking in the US. Where people kidnap teens mainly, gang rape and beat them, and sell them to people in other states as a sex slave. Well, that sure paints a nice picture, doesn't it.

I don't know much about Alabama other than I believe it's one of the poorest states in the US.

haha everyone else i know runs away and goes to different cities or states and such, but me, my family, and my friends load up on gas, food, and most importantly, a crap load of beer, and have a good ole' time watching all the chit go down, bad weather is fun to watch, but having to deal with it later is the crappy part

Your also the first one done with all the clean-up and don't have to regret coming home to no electricity because you're already there

not to mention for young'uns like me you can make some good honest money helping clean others yards

A coworker begged me to try these horseradish and whatever else laced pickles. They were real hot while you were chewing, but then nothing. No residual burning like with peppers. it was kinda weird. But then when supper time came around 4 hours later, this bad taste crept into my mouth and made me kinda ill feeling. Certainly lost my appetite, but I forced a little down anyways. I've tried milk, bread, and brushing my teeth, and there is still some lingering taste, which is making the stomach upsetness stick around. ugh. This is going to be another bad night's sleep, I can tell.

Email said they'd be coming sometime next week. UPS tracking says its in Dallas as of 7:55 CST tonight, hot damn...

yep, another bad night's sleep. Wish I had thursday and friday off this week for fall break like my gf.

and dammit, I always come on here in the mornings and read shit instead of eat my cereal and it makes me late to work by 2-3 minutes. Luckily nobody there really watches for me.
