I have no understanding of why, because from what I understand 90% of deadening is just adding mass, but layers of foam on the roof made it sound so much more dead than just the deadener. I wish I would have put expanding foam in the supports before I put sheets of foam over the supports, but it really made a huge difference.

I can't tell you why, but it made some kind of difference for me, in a big way on the roof.

You need a barrier, not just a damper. The damper helps with stopping resonances, but a barrier can actually block sound. Aluminum backed vinyl is great for this.

I'm confused though, why then would the ensolite even make a difference? The RAAM (aluminum butyl(?)) worked, but the ensolite foam made nearly the same (perceived) difference.

I may just be understanding it wrong, and more hearing what I want to for all the work I did.

My Expy doors are horrible to get the outer skin dampened. I would have to cut metal. I hope when I just deaden the inside skin it's enough.

The only thing Ensolite does is prevent rubbing of two adjacent surfaces. If you "heard" anything else it is just due to the fact that you had expectations of hearing something else. If you used it as an isolating layer between layers of deadening it would have some value as a decoupler.

Any benefits to using it as a decoupler between diffrent layers of deadener or between deadener and some vinyl / aluminum barrier ?

Appalachian State University's student paper The Appalachian has just kicked off its long-awaited four-part series on pornography, and it promises to be children's treasury of hilarity that we will follow closely. Today: Cum shot controversy.

"Lifestyles Reporter" (HEH) Nikki Roberti sets it up with words from the expert:

OH HO? The Appalachian took it upon itself to poll 100 students of the school there, and found scarce middle ground on this contentious and often sexy issue:

Forty-six percent said pornography was a normal and a common part of life, whereas 34 percent said it was disgusting and wrong.

Twenty percent had no opinion.

Furthermore, 43.4% (how is that possible in a poll of 100 people? I don't know) lied and said they don't watch porn at all. But The Appalachian did track down one expert who most certainly does watch porn: assistant sociology professor Amy D. Page. Doctor?

Always steared away from royal purple just because of there attitude of every oil they make is the end all for all lubricants. There price seemed to always confirmed there attitude. But if its proven I'm always willing to try it

i just tossed out a name, although i did watch teh episode of horsepower tv where all they did was change all fluids over to royal purple synthetics and got a pretty big horsepower gain at the wheels.

i'd wager any good/name brand syn is going to just fine.

Pretty much yeah; Mobil 1, Valvoline SynPower, Castrol Syntec, AMSOIL, RedLine, Royal Purple, etc. etc. all make top notch synthetics

I'm partial to Royal Purple because they're headquarted in Texas, hehehe

I was driving behind a Corsica today and I noticed something chained to the ball hitch. Upon closer review I found out it was the muffler, which would drag on the ground otherwise. haha. A car not only with a ball hitch but with the exhaust chained to it, that's about as redneck as it gets, ain't it?
