I think I should come to work in a great kilt and chain mail for a casual friday.

Other than the spike strips that you put on where they perch, I'm not sure what else you can do.

Tom, this is really the only surefire solution. We have this problem at all my stores and after trying everything else, the only thing that has worked was the spikes. They make a caulk-like material that you can put where they are landing and it will irritate them when they land and cause them to move, but it only works for so long. Same with the poison. Hell, we even went so far as to use a fake owl that howled when they came near and eventually, they learned it was not threat.

I have been looking into that company you told me about Ryan, they seam pretty danged amazing. I"m also checking out the STS/rear mounted turbo. I just put in an email to them for S & G's, maybe I can walk away with FI and hold on to a few bucks. I don't know WTF I would get it tuned though. I don't think they have a local dealer.

Al is like THE god of the 5.4, but there are a lot of great modular engine building companies. Most of them cater to the 4.6, but like the 302 and 351, the only main difference is the deck height. The 5.4 shares everything else with the 4.6 right down to even the camshafts and pistons. Rods of course are longer, but everything else is essentially the same.

IMO, I would go with the turbo or a supercharger. Cheap, easy, and reliable. These engine respond very well to power adders.

I like the idea of the rear mount Squires turbo idea. They have a universal kit, and I have a buddy who will weld the tubes no problem. I think all I would need it a tune then and maybe bigger injectors.

You'd need to tackle the fuel system before doing the tune and during the turbo install. Depending on your boost and power level, also shortblock condition, I'd start out with 60lb. injectors, as large a mass air meter as you could find, and a good fuel pump. You NEVER want to run lean, especially with the powdered metal rods the modulars use.

Just have to have some friends over and have a pigeon bonfire lol.

anyone had the chance to drive an amg c63 yet? i wonder what's more fun to go sliding around in, cts-v or c63 (i'll vouch for the cts-v being a riot to ice skate around on pavement)?

yes to both, completely different vehicles.

<-- doesn't fit in a C63 very well :(

I read E63!!

The c63 would be more fun I think then hands down. Why? Because in the 2 reviews I have read they said the rear rubber doesn't have enough contact patch. That means super fun wheel spin and a big manly v8!

I am not a fan of the looks of the new c class. I call it the Mazda benz, though it looks much better with the AMG badge than the standard C. I have yet to drive either though. I don't think I would fit either Sean.

i keep seeing c63 vs v8 m3 comparisons, i don't really think the cars are all that similar. the c63 looks like a brute, and i love the hand built motor. the m3 looks like more of a purpose built road racing coupe to me. the cts-v i drove was an 05, and it sure got up quick. lots of body roll, under steer and tire smoke! i really have the hots for that c63 though, german muscle ftmfw! (not that i could afford a new amg right now)

:fing34:

i have a wacky cousin who wore a tuxedo top and a kilt to his wedding.

WTF

That's a great pic.

I think it was one of the buses used in Dumb and Dumberer. There is a scene in there where they jump the bus and I imagine it ruined a couple front ends during filming, as I saw another picture with the driver's side wheel looking like this one.

Good tip!

Thanks.

I'll have to investigate the spikes then.

unless you're specifically looking for an excuse to get a crate motor ;)

I was looking to do an engine swap, but I think that might not be a long way out. The wife has been talking about wanting a new car. So I'm not getting a go fast or mud toy.

I know a piece of laundry line ran across the peak of the roof kept the seagulls off the cabin in Canada...........maybe that will help here tom?

The M3 destroys both of the options at least IMO from the drivers seat, but is more similar to the C63 than the new CTS-V.

the m3 seems a lot more refined, a real trackable car with a serious racing pedigree. the cts and c63 strike me as contemporary muscle cars. for some reason i imagine they're more fun to putt around town in than a new m3 (though i have yet to ride or drive in one).
