The mp3 player is pretty sick for $29. Just loaded about 6 jeezy cds on it and the features are really nice. Pretty happy with it.

I think I have found the bike that will eventually replace my moped

Aprilia SX 50. Still a small engine but it's got a 6 speed gearbox. Watercooled, carbed 2 stroke. Small bike, not much wider than the moped.

Anybody remember the old Phoenix Gold 30 band eq. If so do you remember the model #?

try Phoenixphorum.com alot of old pg fans still hang out there.

I'm there everyday. ;)

I saw your name there. So I take it that you are an old pheonix gold guy?

Meaning products from the early 90's.

Old PG stuff rocks! The shop I work at used to carry all the PG stuff. I've seen pictures of old displays and it just rocks. We had all the old Titanium and limited editions. I was going through pictures of old installs and found an install with 4 15" MB Quarts and a Pheonix Gold Reactor. I with people still spent money on stereos like they did in the 90s.

Funny you say about $$$. I have spent my fair share. My first big install Power 650, 2-Power 300, and a punch 45. All the drivers were RF too with MB tweeters, audio control processing. Sweet system. Then I traded the 650 and 300's for the Phoenix Gold 2- MS2125 and MPS2500. Wish I had all that money back, all well the cray shit you do when you are young and single.

Leaving memory lane now. ;)

You get the weirdest crap when you buy bottles of Jack:

The last time I saw a Jack bottle with a stand it was a 3 liter bottle. :)

A shop by my house still has some older PG stuff. They have a M44 & another amp I dont know the model number of I believe it is an M series, it has a 10 year anniversary logo on it.

Might be an MS1000. Monster 4 channel with plexi bottom?

It did have a plexi bottom on it but I dont think it was a four channel. I'd go in there and take pictures of all the older amplifiers they have if I didn't feel weird about it. They might think I'm casing the joint or something.

What about the MPH-6300? I never saw one, but was told they did make 1 just 1.

Badass. Thanks Adrian! Definitely going to look into doing this on my subwoofer amp in the living room, the fan noise just pisses me off. I've also debated just unhooking the fan since its pretty robust and has thermal overload protection, along with the fact I hardly even use the power capabilities of it.

Exactly why I did this mod, it drove me crazy. Plus I too never use the amps at their full potential. Don't have too much faith in thermal overload protection. Most of the times the resistors are too far from the mosfets. But you have qsc's which are badass from the get-go.

This one is a QSC CX902, which is a pretty badass amp to begin with, plus I bought them from an amp engineer at QSC who said if I broke them, he would repair them for cost of shipping...

Do you remember his name by any chance? I was talking with a QSC engineer a while back. He was helping me with some stuff for a school project.

If its from SiN, its the same guy. I'm not going to say his screen name on public forum, but yea, that guy. PM me if you want it.

Must be the same guy. I'll end up giving you a random PM someday when I decide to start an amp project.

That's great. People used to spend assloads on stereos back in the day. Now people want a Cd player and subs. Maybe they will throw in some coax speakers in the rear deck. Lol

Most of the "all out" installs we do for people, are people who used to be big in the car audio scene in it's golden age. We just did some guys silverado, and he had all his old Rockford amps and MB Quart components. Just 2009 style HU and processing.

They realized that I was not the only nut job in the world. Not sure if you know of or remember a guy name Holly Mongal, but he was the first person we met that year. He brought down his Ferrari and I was in love until he showed me his daily pounding system in his truck ripping my face off to Back in Black.

Sounds like you are going to have a good day.

I dunno, you think this will be air tight?

We like to use 100% silicone or that foam in a can on every exterior framing joint/seam possible; stud to sheathing, stud to header, stud to sill, sheathing to header, sheathing to sill, sheathing to sheathing, etc. Can't really do that on this particular section without ripping out the pantry so we did the next best thing.
