Few years ago in "computer class" I reformatted one of the computers and installed ubuntu, setup apache webserver, and created a webuser registration app. That way all the kids in the class could actually deal with uploading files to a server, and actually be able to test out their server side scripts.

Class was a complete joke, any way, the IT had to come in and verify that the computer was safe to be on their network. He walked in, looked at the screen and said "so that's linux?"..."Okay" and that was it.

And then I did a MITM attack until the network crashed. :roflmao: High School days...

My Comcasr laptop has got so much shit on it, I am suprised these forums work on it ...

When my secured network acess is activated, nothing works ... but Comcast materials ...

our IT department thinks they work like champs ... :ughdunno:

sometimes I wish I had one of those old "TV Bricks" to throw at them ...

Wish I could try FF but IT doesn't let any of us download programs. Ill try clearing things out to get GS to work. Haven't tried justhearit yet either.

Throw cf on a thumbdrive and boot it from there. Then your biwinning all over their face.

Ah, high school computer shenanigans. Playing first person shooters across the LAN in computer lab = good times.

I was happy if I had Oregon trail in computer labs at my school. Number crunchers was fancy. I spent my time programming the graphing calculators to make fun of the teacher when the next student put in an equation or started it up.

:)

Dude...you're old :roflmao:

I had the same idea with the thumb drive. I can't decide if IT would be more pissed about that or if I "accidentally" downloaded chrome while surfing google when I'm doing something requiring admin privelages. Several people have accidentally downloaded chrome and IT never bothered to remove it. Either option sounds a lot better than ie

I played Mike Tyson's Punch Out during most of my highschool computer class. A fuckin classic

Oregon trails was the shit back in 2nd and 3rd grade. :D

Got the floorboard / kick panel area fiberglassed for a base, should be dry in 45 minutes then I can start smoothing it out.

Has anyone else seen kickpanels/pods done with fabric coated in resin and body filler, but no fiberglass mat?

Yes, by idiots.

I am an idiot :). I did that on my kick panels for my first truck. however, my fabric was a super thick material that had a lot of random fibers. It took a hell of a lot of sanding but it was strong afterwards.

Used to do that in high-school. And in the senior year we would skip some classes, get the network admin, find a free computer lab and play shooters. It was fun when the principal found us.

Random headache and I don't know why... :ughdunno:

Dehydration maybe

unreal tournament was my fav in HS. I loaded it up on the network so that anyone could log in and install it on their computer (because the tech kept formatting the computers trying to erase the game). I assumed he'd check the server as well so i had three copies of the install file; one just sitting in a folder buried among bullshit; one "hidden" by nothing more than the right click option, and one that was encrypted and extremely well disguised. He formatted almost every computer lab on a weekly basis and never managed to erase any of the three files on the server. He knew it was me doing it and even told me once "i can't figure out how you get 100+ copies of that game loaded within one day of me formatting all these computers"

That game was awesome. I pissed off everyone playing.

We did not have computers when I was in high school. :(

Seriously? I am about your age and we had them in Elementary school

Yeah but that's Minnesooooooota, eh? I know the school district I grew up in didn't have computer labs until at least the mid 80's because I cut my teeth on Macintosh/Plus/SE/II systems. Matter of fact they were already archaic when I started using them :roflmao:

Graduated in '83. Small private school, in a fairly small town.
