Driving an FF through the snow at Arjeplog, Jeremy Clarkson has the best job ever.

Quoting just so everyone can see it another time.

Snowmobiling > all.

God damn its fun. Power to weight that is absurd and a medium that allows you to fuck up and not have it be a deal.

I beg to differ. :P

Dirt bikes are fun, don't get me wrong, but everything you like about them is better on snow. Including normal rider comfort in the environment.

And falling I would assume.

Much harder to fall. Something about nearly sitting on the ground and having a "3 wheeled" vehicle does wonders for the idiot proofing. Obviously can hurt pretty bad if you crash though since the top speeds are drastically different.

I have a hard time with control on sleds. But I'm sure if I had the same amount of experience on a sled I would enjoy it. For now, i'll stick with two wheeled machines!

Hard time? Sounds like a setup problem. WAY more control than any dirt bike

What the god damned shit stained fuck? Porsche is saying their Panamera can tow 4850 pounds??

Well this is awkward:

Sweet! Since I decided to sell my house and move I don't need a truck for the boat anymore and that means I only really need to tow the snowmobile trailer. Maybe my next car :P

Turbo?

I wish. Drove the Turbo S a few months back and am still smiling. Not sure I can even pull an S off though.

I'm sure some of the similarities on the snowmobile would be more extreme, thus more fun, such as drifting around corners. I just love the feeling of being leaned up on the gas tank, dive bombing into a turn, inner leg extended out, bike leaned way way over, and accelerating out.

One of my favorite parts is going through big well spaced whoops. Hit first one, lift front end into the air, wheelie over the top of the next whoop, set front end down, hit next whoop, wheelie out, etc.

Plus I have all the desert to ride. If there was snow instead, I'd probably get a snowmobile. Yours a two stroker?

Yes indeed on both accounts.

I have absolutely no interest in a four stroke machine. I'll leave those idiotic adventures to those with Japanese envy that are permanently dissuaded by a joke of a reason to drive a boring tank.

Rode yesterday at one trail, rained, lots of traction. You could lean it, gas it, it'd stick. If you really wanted to break traction and slide, just bang on the throttle a bit more.

Rode today at a different place, no rain. Sliding everywhere. Sliding into bermed turns was a hoot, but flat - off camber turns was sketchy. Then I noticed my rear tire was so worn it had no nubs left.

You need more power. :P

I have a monster track for the trail and can still break it loose a lot. Will pull "wheelies" at 40mph without having a clutch to dump as well. Power to weight is the fun.

Oh, and I have mine setup to not pull wheelies as I like to have my skis on the ground when I need to turn. No apehanging to show off here, but modulating the front to bang the bumps you bet.

In this picture the Porsche looks huge, that trailer must be small along with the car that is on it. Or picture angle?

250cc two stroke is plenty of power for everything I do. Only time I'm wot is for a few straight-aways throughout the trails, maybe twenty seconds max. :)

Anyone actually played with this stuff? I could think of a few things it'd be useful for.

*now watch, someone will have something better and I'll feel dumb

I came across it while looking for primer on amazon. For small things I would consider fiber glassing, but this could be way easier.

That is just like the beads that come with fx fangs. I may have to get a jar and see for myself.

I wonder how the bungee hooks would hold up?

Both. Although I fit inside both cars, albeit its a bit difficult to see stop lights in the Lotus.
