A large gamut of 3M products. Same thing I use on all my cars.

I know you did ask Sean originally but I wanted to second this since he did say 3m products. A good friend of mine who has won at least one state award, probably more, for painting cars uses 3m products and nothing else. He's the biggest tight wad, farm boy, but ALWAYS uses 3m.

I think Aaron & Ryan should pipe in to. They might be more anal than me in how they detail.

Meguiars is what I'd buy if 3M weren't around.

We started building the led systems last year for haunt use and have had a lot of comments on our lighting.

meguires is a great product. I actually often use their "detailing" spray in between washes if I need to. It does amazing things to a good wax coat.

I don't stick to any one brand for the entire product gamut. I have drifted away from Meguiars after learning of some of Barry's bible thumping ways. In terms of products, there are crap tons of options out there that are not available in the local AutoZone etc. Most are sold direct through their websites I believe. If I have a chance I will pull out a few products for example. There is actually a great detailing topic on CarAudio-Forum.com that has loads of great info in it, along with my mini-reviews of a number of products during the summer and fall of last year. I learned a few things that are quite pricey are nothing more then coloring change and a re-badge of a much cheaper product. Many detail nuts use power buffers and polishers, I prefer to do it all by hand. Even though it takes a crap ton more effort and time. If I am under a time crunch, I will occasionally use and All-in-one product (ie cleaner wax etc.) but prefer using a precleaner -> polish -> sealant -> glaze -> wax -> quick detailer.

I use a power buffer to restore only. The M needed it badly when I bought it, but has never seen it since. Maintenance is the key to not needing reconstructive surgery regularly.

Ya the buffers can be bad if you dont know what you are doing.

When I repaint the damaged side on the expedition I am going to strip down to the clear and buff everything out. For a 12 year old truck she's in great shape, but the paint is a bit dull and some swirls.

It sounds silly but for work vehicles my buddy uses an aircraft/boat wax that shines up so good that if you weren't trying to win some show it would outshine most products. He puts it on his big f250 and can use a squirt gun to clean that thing off. I've seen him use windex on that stuff before if he really wants it to shine up good.

He cracks me up.

managed to get an honest to god raging hard on

park it in the driveway and now there's a stench coming from under the hood

I use Bass Boat Saver on plastic parts in my car.

i use the turtle wax ice stuff on the interior plastics, and vinyl

i like it because its not slippery like armorAll
