I've been in the market for an Explorer or truck, both of which are abundant and relatively cheap in this economy, yet most individuals think their high mileage vehicle is an exception and I "won't find one cleaner," so they want a fortune. Of course then you get assholes like me who know exactly what to look for and dig deep and pick out every little thing that the average car owner just has no idea about, so. . .

Easy to pick out those things if you know the car inside-out :neil:

See I need to learn more about cars.

It would definatly help me negotiate.

Ryan should open up a 'used car buying' school.

Usually the reply here is "The car isn't new, this and that are because of the age".

There was a guy selling a Jeep just like mine, he said he knocks $100 off the price for any defect found... I should have tried to negotiate

When I bought my son's jeep I ask the guy if he wanted to sell it or show it? His reply was sell it, so I took it for 3 hrs and went over everything and returned with a list of issues and an offer. His jaw dropped as looked at the paper I gave him, then told me his mechanic checked the jeep out and said everyhting was fine. I said yes it is fine, fine to SIT on your lot and not the road. Big differance!

Needless to say I paid what I offered taxes included and he calls me from time to time for help.

I don't like to dicker prices with people, but I like to see fair deals on both ends.

So according to the pricing I see on Autotrader I could sell my truck for just about as much as I bought it for 4 years ago...

Considering I am about to list mine I like that. What coo you think. 02 z71 LT e/c with topper and 128k miles

I'd never use a list of faults to negotiate as it leaves open counters, instead a simple "in its current condition I would pay xix" is all that is necessary. Defending the price with issues isanother thing altogether

With that condition and dealing with a Jeep, he should have been paying you to take it by the end of the day.

More than glad to help if you like.

Random question for all, I am looking for 3,000-3,500 watts for my truck. Best bang for the $$ and I do not want to buy cheap junk. I have been running Kicker for years, but am thinking about going with Sundown or a quality equivalent.

Any thoughts and recommendations.

Anyone needing new boots. Danner boots is having a 50% off friends and family sale

www.danner.com

Shit man thats cheaper than I get them. I have a Pair of the TPX military on my feet right now. Some of the most comfortable boots I have ever owned.

I used the hell out of my Sundown SAZ-3000. I loved that amp. Never gave me any problems, and the customer service is top notch.

Plus with the deals they have from time to time its well worth the time and money.

J

I don't need them, but I just bought a pair of work boots, debating on buying a second pair. It is impossible to beat the price. I've never worn Danners, but I've never heard a bad thing, and excellent american made boots for the price of decent imports, no brainer.

If I can sneak down to Lock Haven for a day I will take you up on it.

I plan on taking some mechanic classes when I get back. Learn more than how to fill oil/antifreeze/gas/washer/brake fluid, change tires/w.shield blades, and clean the car.

I am pretty mechanically retarded.

Dude buy a second pair. YOU in particualr wear boots damn near if not more than I do. At this price its two pair of AMERICAN MADE boots for the price of one.

Do you have any mechanically inclined friends? I'm always showing people how to do their own car stuff.

I sent db-r an email for a referb 3000 and hope they get back to me.

Reason behind this build is advertisment for spookhaven. After the system is complete the windows are getting wrapped.

Good point. Honestly my biggest concerns with the next vehicle is what I want/need.
