Sorry I forget to mention that on my main tv I have an older hd dvr. I don't want a new one as there is no need for it. I just want to upgrade my 2 old receivers. Sorry I left this bit out.

Yea I thought it put that info in there. I don't want another dvr we really don't use it much.

Ask Matt2.

LOL

yup

what are you looking to get out of the mattress topper?

Any of you guys know anything about mattress toppers? Looking to get one for the bed and have no clue what to look for/stay away from.

Didn't think they did squat. Why not a new mattress if you are having troubles?

Damnit. Seans correct. I was guilty of baiting you to give you the same line.

:(

YOU STOLE MY THUNDER SEAN!!!!

Didn't want to spend that much $$$, then again a topper could easily be pissing my money away.

in almost any and every way it is. Is there a mattress giant in the area?

:)

I have been sleeping on this for about 7 years now.

I sleep on one too. My roomate does, there is one in my spare bedroom. Another old roomate got one too. 2 friends got one from me also, and then their parents did. 2/3 of the guys who I sold beds with do too.

memory foam toppers actually work rather well, but if your mattress is old (8 years or older) you might as well save up and get a new one

Budget wise I don't get it, but maybe you've seen toppers that are a better deal.

Warning on mattress shopping. No reason really to ever pay more than 30-35% of retail MSRP. Just bought Aidan a new Twin XL that retailed for $589 for $167.

Yup. I could get clear stock down to 17.5% off the original mattress price.

Hmmm, I suppose I need to take the little lady and go mattress shopping.

We gotta do the same when we get home.

Sean, how do you get the price dropped so much? Every place I go seems to want MSRP or maybe 100 less.

J

Any salesman/mattress store worth their salt will readily sell you a mattress for half off MSRP; a good one will give you two thirds off

brand new product is 50% off... clearance, as in tried and didn't liked, is rock bottomed.

Holy crap, talk about markup!

Never done this mattress shopping thing before, what kind of $$$ am I looking at? I'm guessing the 500-1k range?

Depends on the brand, the size, and the construction

Good queen's are about 300-500

Sweet, glad to hear that. Did you sell them before?

am I the only one who has had bad experiences with euro/pillow tops?

about 800 min for a queen is the really sweet spot..... Unless you can get deals like I gave. I got a kingthat should have been a 1200 dollar mattress and a paid of boxes at 750 a peice. Those boxes probably have more springs than most peoples mattresses.

I sold quite a bit..... maybe 15% of my sales(by volume) were from their product. That says a lot as their price isn't the lowest. I believed in what they made when I was selling beds.
