I'd swap out the rims, tires, brakes, seat and pedals and turn it into a touring/cyclocross mix. Not for heavy cross racing, but to ride on limestone and single tracks here in the cities.

If it were Reynolds 531 or Columbus SL I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
