What's that rule of thumb they use in marketing? Don't use higher than 6th grade level vocabulary in ads or somesuch? I guess that applies to forums too :roflmao:

Ugh last smoke and then bed.

Goal is to quit smoking within the next 10 weeks.

Lets see how it goes.

J

My father had a funny way of quitting smoking.

Last year in January he said 'I'm done with smoking', he hasn't smoked even one since then. And now he complains about cigarette smoke

It's going to take some will power, I wish you luck !

I should of been more clear. It was the last cig before bed aka last of the day. In 10 weeks or so the no smoking starts.................Lets see if I can do it.l

dead lifted tonight..... way over estimated.

I felt the support muscles in my back clench. Inner thigh too. I've always sucked at dead lift and a gut hanging down doesn't help either. adds a bit extra.

I'll feel this for a week. I tried to hit 315 like I used to. bbbaaaddd idea.

Seans a special breed of ass, however he is an ass. But in a productive way.

I get that from almost everyone I know. When you speak directly and cut out the fluff some of the more tender labia get all puffy and bruised.

I used to have a lot of tact in my delivery, but I'm slowly getting worse at that.

And yes, I am pointed in person as well. Get me drunk and around idiots and they too will want to punch me.

Eh, I've never thought you were an ass. Blunt maybe, but thats it.

I'll take blunt over sugar coated bullshit anyday.

I am being told to use more tact.............I really just do not care if my honesty and saying how I feel bothers people. Do I come up and tell people they are a wase of fucking oxygen and should carry around a small garden to replace the air they steal from the rest of us? No, but I want to.

One of the most important lessons I have ever learned is to not burn bridges. It's never worth it.

Abandon the cause, retreate, etc... but never completely destroy a line of comunication.

As I get older I find myself caring less and less about that, and I should be caring more and more.

I'm just jaded and subtlety is becoming something I have not practiced in a while. I either grin and bear it, or drop a 10 megaton dirty nuke and carpet bomb with metaphorical herpagonosyphilaids and agent orange to make sure the open wound hurts longer.

A good friend, and now my supv was x navy J. His inability to use tact, and shut his mouth cost him dearly. He looks back and regrets. He wouldn't use that word but he constantly talks about how his mouth and actions kept him from moving up and forced his retirement.

Even though he was blatently in the right 99% of the time shoving the truth into an officers face when they fuck up didn't do him any favors.

I'm having a tough time with the taste of that medicine right now. I've spent about 3 years in limbo. everyday is feeling like comming out of a cloud.

Trust me I can feel his pain. I am learning more tact..........Its a slow process but I am learning it. My career has been stalled for far too long.

Now if I can just get a fix on my inability to wake up, I'd be good.

Here is my editoral of why people react the way they do. In todays culture people are coddled from the truth. lets face it most of the time the truth sucks! I see this very often when I have to work with interns. These kids come from school thinking they know everything only to find out what humility really is. The sad part is they don't know how to suck it up and learn a lesson, but rather become bitter and angry. The reason I am given these interns is I am good at teaching and communicating tring to help them get the knowledge they are in need of.

How many times are you going to close your hand in the door before you say hey dumb ass there is a better way to close this door?

So I don't believe it is a matter of being blunt, but rather the culture that has been created by coddling the young.

Sean someday we need to drink together. We would have a blast! I like idiots too!

Guess I will find out if the battery held up over night.
