Sleep now. Work early then take another swing at the math part tomorrow afternoon.

Thursday and Friday are my last shot or else I need to take a trig/calc/stat course for a grand before starting the biotech program. Or I hold off on starting and really teach myself and enroll later. No matter what I'm sad I didn't do better.

  • Chill- Lemme break it down as simple as I can on some of us here. The IHoP is like a big dysfunctional family. -M5 would be the uncle everyone respects and takes advice from. We may not like how he p

I cannot memorize and breakdown all the full functions of the trig world then apply them into f(h(x)) type situations.

Arbitrary triangle resolution is something I've never seen. I just faked it for some of the questions and worked logic hard. Polynomials etc fine.... I can at least see everything but when you start getting into the trig involving resolutions with Pi I'm fucked.

If you don't use them often (as in homework for classes) it's hard to memorize them. I can't remember 90% of the stuff I used in high-school.

Same here and I was always told I would need the algebra and trig for the electrical field. Being an engineer sure, but your everyday electrician has no need to know all that shit.

The only way to really memorize that stuff is through repetition. Even then most people forget it shortly after they stop using it frequently. I know I have.

pucking IE6. IE blows in general, but for god sakes I wish they'd let us update already.

Vertical array next time :)

If only the depth was a little shorter for pillars :P ill prob do it for my desk.

What are you using to power your shelf comp speakers you made 6 months back? Home receiver? Or some computer friendly amp?

A pawn shop Pio Elite ;)

they want you to memorize sin tables?? that's fucking useless

I agree. It's a complete non issue. I guess if all the computers and programmers in this world died and every math book and calculator was burned and every note taken was lost..... Then we would have a need to remember it..... If we for some reason needed to find angles for arbitrary triangles that we already knew the length of the sides for.....

Yep, that's Apollo needed.

I was under the impression they allowed you to use a calculator! That is insane. Even the ACT allows calculators.

Well damn! I'll probably look around for some fairly inexpensive amps from pe, or check craigslist for receivers. Thanks

They allow basic adding machine type calculators. Just arithmetic style. And only on some problems. I basically answered many of the ones above my head by solving the original problem using values for x of 1,2,3&4 then solving the 4 multiple choice answers and finding the one that matches.

Without any ability to compute digitally exponents slows ya down but its possible. I can still pen and paper it though. When exponents have integers though... Ouch. Still pen and paperable though. What isn't for me is trig functions and how the fuck do I solve square roots on paper? What a Damn grind. I know case á =(2Pi - à)sin ..... Right? Maybe its 2/à not times. Anyway, when u the ends to do the LONG form for non right angles... No chance if remembering.... Even less of remembering then simplifying. I'm sure there is a fast way to solve but I'm not clued in.

Wow, that sucks. Reminds me of that Calc I class I took in high school; no calculators, ever.

I never even took trig or calc.

And the last time I did any more than basic algebra (and anything even then would have only been for giggles when I just needed to solve without help for prides sake) would be 1999. IMP math was my last class and beginning trig was the last subject. It's my own fault for not trying harder to be in school/take mathematics after school. I'm just bitter. Even back then though the teacher said learning trig functions was nonsense when u can plug it into any computer and its done in microseconds.

I am curious why biotech need such high math. Physics & engineering sure.

Messing with biology and new tech. though? If it was needed it would be super specific and have its own course. Hell. Even the roommate didn't learn that Shit and he was a game designer and needed to mathematically express physics for the game engine.

I'm all butt hurt is all.

:)

If I need the math then I need it, I'm going to retake the test tonight and tomorrow. If I get that extra 15 points great. If not I pay to get taughteded with all the other dunces. :P

M5, If you had the option to put midbass drivers (6.5s) in either kick panels or in dash (firing toward windshield and reflecting back), goal being best midbass, which way would you go?

I pretty much have the room to fit the 6.5s in dash, just need to space them out an inch above dash and fiberglass down.

I have enough room in the kick panel area to face the speaker any direction, unfortunately it'll take up a fair amount legroom.

Any thoughts?

I don't think I could do those problems either and I finished Calc I 2 years ago. This makes me regret registering for Calc II :P

I took up a Shit load of HOP and poasts for my bitching.

/ rant

:x

Don't sweat it, we know "yous gotz dis!" :)

Unless you can have it shipped by parts (motor in one package, basket + soft parts in the other) I see no option. And please use my first name, not my last name.

Adi, I've asked Jake about it, waiting for his response. But it looks like it will be in two boxes, the thing I am worried about is assembly tho

, USPS won't ship my sub, too heavy. What would you suggest? :/

What the hell are you shipping, they accept up to 70lbs.

An 18" subwoofer.
