I've figured that was why you never included the Range in your list.

Top Gear has a massive boner for Range Rovers btw.

Only cause their british. Worst of all the nice ute choices BY FAR.

Escalade? :P

If they made an ss I am sure it would take the worst title back

Last 'scalade I saw had a 6.0L and AWD. How much more SS do you need?

A lot. If it can't keep up with the AMG, I'm not interested. The 6.0L is a dog in the trucks for what it is so I can't imagine it being better in the hood beast.

and now a black man named Al Albequerque is pitching...

since we've had the topic of flashlights. What do you all suggest for a lighter? I need it to be a sturdy lighter that can sit for long periods without losing its fuel. Will be used for hiking/camping and for lighting a bowl so both are equally necessary.

I'm sure at least some of you know of some well-built rugged lighters.

I'm just saying that one of those are usually the requirement for SS in a GM vehicle. The Escalade has both therefore there is no SS to upgrade to.

Torches are great, but die WAY too easy. :( I'd recommend a zippo, but obviously you won't like how that tastes.

I agree. My problem is that torches die too quickly and I usually break something in them. Zippos last forever but I don't like having to fill the fluid and they're not good in the wind or for lighting a bowl.

Just looked. 8 seconds to 60 and more than 16 in the quarter is not reasonable. If I wanted a slow, always going to breakdown piece of plastic shit I'd still have my Silverado.

If they would have made one in 2007 it is what I'd have. Tried to go drive the new one this week, but they are sold out for at least another 6 months here. Managed to tool around in a Panamera Turbo though. Saweet.

My lease is another 2 years though so I have some time.

GM wised up (read: went bankrupt), stopped trying to make a "high performance" version outta every shitbox they sold and consolidated their high performance line to just a few key models: CTS-V family, Camaro, and Corvette. Cadillacs (save for the aforementioned CTS-V family) are luxobarges, Chevrolet's are their bread and butter brand, and I'm still scratching my head as to what purpose GMC and Buick serve.

You can get a 6.2L in the Silverado 1500 LTZ, so no SS is necessary. Ford did the same thing axing the Lincoln Blackwood (again) in favor of the F-150 Platinum. Consolidation!

apparently the m55 supercharged 5.5l will fit in the crossfire, super easily. No transmission or rear end change needed. (though that's not 100%, but both have heavy duty upgrades available)

That may be a serious project in a few years.

Ok so it seems to snail mail something fron NY to PA takes 4 days, who would have guess. Guess next time I will go for a little drive.

Busy weekend, my ass is dragging! Put the last group throught at 11:05 lastnight. I think lastnight was a record night!

Now it is off to work.
