if you're using Firefox its under Tools --> Options --> Content

I use an extension called NoScript that allows me to disable JavaScript on a site by site basis. Quite useful.

Pages definitely take an extra few more seconds to load for me.

The "post" sometimes takes five seconds before showing it did anything, or it just keep loading.
