What do you gun guru's think about the H&K USP Tactical 45?

I've been shopping for a 45 and I really love the Tact. It fits my hand better than any other pistol I've shot (XD 9, a series of 1911's, Baretta m9, and a Glock 22). I also have heard about the torture testing of the USP series so I feel as if it's a safe buy.

I'm relatively sure I'm going to buy it. Just figured I would ask the advice of the more knowledgeable

The truth is I think just about every modern firearm is quality when maintained. I happen to much prefer the ergonomics and trigger of a 1911 to anything else. I like the XDM next. I have not had much time with the USP. I have played with g to the lock, and it will always be a harsh angle and home boy gangster gun to me. But like ass holes those are just smelly opinions.

I haven't heard of any major flaw in the H&K and they stand by their product.

Whole lot of money that I wouldn't spend on one. What do you want to do with said pistol? There is no definitive advantage of .40 or .45 over 9mm USING PROPER MODERN HOLLOW POINTS. Now that being said, what caliber are you looking for?

Its a gun. A 1911 will run flawlessly if kept in the original form and not with nutso tight tolerances, you start straying from that and you will have issues. A XD, Glock, HK, insert quality firearm will not have problems if kept maintained and quality ammo fired through it. Sure, everything has problems, but most people never put more than say 1000 rounds through one.

And while I agree the H&K is a spendy pistol, if it feels better than the rest to shoot for a guy, the. That is the right one.

Just a ball park but I doubt its far off... Think how many people own guns, but just to say they own them.

I never thought of it that way. My shotguns have very little through them. I started buying cheep ammo every time I go out just so I put more through the tube. Since they are the defense guns in my house....

Don't forget CZ pistols either.

Also, if you are new to pistols, no way in the world would I spend 1k+ on one. Buy something cheap and reliable, like a used Gen2 Glock, and spend the rest on ammo and training, not just going bang down at the range or into a dirt pile, something that'll teach you and show you what needs done. THEN after you have a foundation of knowledge, minimum of 1k rounds, go about selling, buying, and getting items modified.

The best 60 bucks I spent was on a training class.

It's called call of duty. I pwn newbs

I don't play multiplayer anything. Suck so bad at that. It's just an embarrassment to myself. I think though in my unemployment I should have smoked a lot of pot and spent 2 months gaming.

I would have thought the same. :(

Paintball!

I use to play in the woods all the time. I remember their was a few companies making tactical "accurate" type guns. I wonder how those would compare to the Tippmann A-5 I had.

What is force on force training?

Learning how to shoot people while they shoot back, room clearing, threat response, etc. I've used the gas powered airsoft guns, simunition rounds are to hard to get a hold of and expensive.

One of the biggest things that fucks me up when shooting around others is flinching from their shots.

Any tips on overcoming that? Or pretty much just shoot more near others, and get use to it?

Dryfire. Mix in snap caps to a magazine/cylinder. Have someone else load where you can't see it and you shoot like its going to fire, but you don't know if it is live or not.

Lol

Never thougt of that. smart.

Oh. One more thing.

YOU FOCUS ON THE GOD DAMN FRONT SIGHT

-Sergey Luzov

We were watching the movie 'Troy' and the scene where they are going out to battle and say 'You focus on his sword and nothing else' he paused the movie and basically yelled that at us. Crazy Russians.

Speaking of the rifle, not pistol.

I should add the snapcap duds randomly, but will that really help with flinching from others firing? I figured itd only help in making sure im not flinching on my own shots?
