So the only thing that has fixed our pack-rat issue is having the hoods open at night with a shop light shining in the engine bay. Week goes by and we get an email from our neighbor across the street claiming that the lights are shining in their bedroom, and they can't sleep, so we have to get rid of the lights. Funny thing is the light is blocked by the hood up, and when standing in their driveway nothing is shining from our house. Oh and their bedroom is on the opposite side of the house.

Old people always causing problems.

Some nice Heirloom Tomatoes, peas, maybe carrots... or just throw a big gob of peanut butter in it. With a trail leading to it.

Essentially everyone on my street parks their cars in their garage--except me.

People make mistakes lol.

Won a coffee basket at my daughter's art school fundraiser, finally got a french press. I'm liking it, now to get a grinder and start grinding my own beans.

You are going to puke at the price of real grinders. Hard to find anything worth a shit under $250

Only an idiot would spend $250 on a coffee grinder, and I don't care how "good" it is--that's ridiculous.

Quality tools cost money. Being a hobbyist, you should understand where he is coming from.

Couldn't really steal anything having stealth in mind with that thing.

Most shit is snatch and grab any way.

We grind most of our spices.. Going from a 30$ grinder to 100$ grinder was a worlds of a difference.. It was able to make small consistent grindings without issue. The other one on the other hand it wasn't consistent at all.. There would be huge chunks mixed in with small chunks.

Really hard to get an even grind without it, and without an even grind you don't get your espresso.

Maybe one of those hand crank turkish style could. But I don't know.

I'm with Stefan on this one, I'll probably spend less than $40 for a small hand grinder. I'm not a coffee addict, and I'm the only one in the house that drinks it.

I just think one is being played to pay that much for a grinder. I mean it can't cost that much to make a decent grinder for coffee beans.

I admit my idiot comment was a little over the top.

Drip isn't the same as espresso or french press coffee.

The reason espresso is what it is, is because of an even grind.

Were your hits smoother after having the weed consistently ground? :P

Stefan, we can probably get one made for cheeper. Lets design it. I know a guy who knows a guy who has some Chinese manufacturing connections!

Perhaps if I was an avid coffee drinker, and tried different grinders than I'd see the justification, but it just seems asinine to spend that much on something relatively simple.

x2, real solution there.

You know if we were to do that, we would sell it for $249.99 :D

I remember when I purchased my electric drill. That thing was stupid expensive, but I wanted it. My FIL purchased a craftsman for a bit more than half the price. Another buddy got a cheaper Dewalt.

They pissed me off so bad giving me shit about the cost of that damn drill. Well, in addition to being able to give more torque and having better settings, theirs both broke down on them this year. I got vindicated!

I'm too lazy to edit, but "sucker" would have been a better word than "idiot" to my post. :D

Something tells me this is going to be one interesting Christmas.

Now I get it. Look up burr grinders.

They are not the same as the little spinning blade units that you are thinking of. Without that level of even grinding espresso isn't espresso.

You can't do espresso on my french press, the fine grindings get caught in the mesh, and I'm not into the espresso anyways.

You haven't been in school long enough if you think turning 50 coffee beans into xx,xxx perfectly sized pieces of dust is "relatively simple".

:P
