What's the easiest way to stream music from PC to Android device via home wifi?

]

I use(d) Orb which is an online service.. When I used it, it was free and worked pretty well.. You could access it on your PS3, Android, PC, Whatevs.

I'll check it out, thanks.

Are you trying to do this remotely or in your wireless space? ie, cloud or your own storage. If it is your own I'd bet the Squeeze suite has an app for that. Haven't looked as I just use the Droid to control my Squeezebox and volume in any room in the house. On the road I carry 128gb of music that I've stripped my collection down to but that is a pretty reasonable amount.

Err nvm. My router separates the wireless network from the wired network. Need to find a new router, or install dd-wrt.

ALways? mine is intermiddent and I don't fucking get it.

Always. I'm sure they do it for security reasons, but it's still a pain in the ass.

Room A = PC with music files. Want to be in room B, and listen to music from my android phone. I've been swapping music around on the microsd card on the phone, but it's becoming a PITA due to the usb cable continually cutting out (which is weird since I've never ever had that happen). Perhaps it would be easier to just buy a 32gb microsd card.

All this recent camera dicussion has led me to look at more lens. I was able to play with a couple on my camera while on vacation and spend time with a guy who takes pictures every day as a job. Needless to say I learned a lot in about 4 hours and was amazed at what I can do with what I have and with the better lens on the same shots the difference was noticable.

I have completely learned how to cheat with lenses and do more with less. My new 18-135 is fucking perfect for what I do. Even weddings that I shoot. Now, if I did more portraits or sports shooting, I think I wouldn't mind a few wide primes or mega zooms.

I found a place that rents the ultra spendy zooms for cheeeeeeeeep for a day. I feel empowered.

poor bastard had to spend a damned week in Florida

The high ISO of todays DSLR allows for a lot of cheating though. They can resolve things (at reasonable speed) that I could not with my older camera.

That would be great to rent and see what you like.

When you can rent those 10, 000$ lenses for 40 bucks, life is good.

Finally got my a55 in the mail from the states.. Loving it so far... Just really trying to "Learn" how to use it and manipulate it with the built in features. I'll probably pick up some minolta lenses but I am not sure what I want yet. The stock lense is pretty good for all around shooting/video. Thinking about either a zoom lense and a Macro lense... not sure any suggestions?

Any lens can be a "macro lens" for most peoples needs. So I would skip that until you really find a need. What lens do you have now? I have found that on my crop frame the 18-135 does almost anything I need for events and also tourism/zoo and nature.

Having a faster wideish prime would be nice for portraits, and an extreme zoom for some events would be great but I can do 99.99% of what I need with this.
