In a town called Energy on Saturday, an 11 year old girl was bite by a pair of pitbulls. Now, the male will get euthanised and the girl's uncle is calling for a ban of the breed. WTF is wrong with PEOPLE??

the family admits the dogs DID NOT know the girl. the girl goes into the cousin's house unannounced and uninvited. the dogs, which are usually penned, are running loose INSIDE the house. when the girl walks in, the dogs proceed to jump on her, not attacking, but playing. the girl gets scared and runs. it's at this point the dogs, now thinking the girl is playing, "attack" the girl. they proceed to rip one pant leg off and end up biting her hand and foot. she has stitches in her foot, arm and hand.

so what exactly did the dogs do wrong? IMO, nothing. the girl is an unknown, uninvited intruder, tehy don't attack as she wlaks in. hell, it's not until she turns defensive that they attack at all. and i believe they weren't attacking, they were playing. if two full grown pits(or any large breed dog for that matter) were attacking the girl, the girl would be dead.

why does the entire breed have to be punished for this mistake? it's obvious these dogs were in a no win situation. they need better training, not put to sleep. and where does one dog attacking justify an entire breed getting the boot? if my rat terrier attacks a kid, does that mean the entire breed needds banned? no, it means that specific dog needs looked at. it's temperment, it's surroundings, it's training. my terrier is FAR meaner then any of my pit bulls. hell, she's meaner then any of the 20 some odd pit bulls in our kennals.

sometimes i just want to choke a MFker who thinks that it's the enitre breeds fault. crap, we might as well put entire species down for doing bad things...like man. our dumbasses are far worse then any freakin dog, especially one doing it's job, protecting it's home.

and yes, if it was my kid getting the stitches in the exact same situation, i would feel the exact same way. there are bad owners, not bad dogs. a dog only acts in the manner in which it was trained. there are execptions true, but that's in all breeds, not just pits. and in any case, all things surrounding the incident should be looked at, in a case by case way. not in a breed by breed or generalized way.

punish the deed, not the breed. and make sure the right person/animal is getting punished. it could very well be the person's fault. [/rant]

the whole lab class is cd based, without the CD i can do absolutely nothing.

talk about a bad day...i'm going to fail a 1cr course that i've had a SOLID B average in. Hopefully i can make high enough today to where i can just buy another CD and mke up the loss

I'm off to test, luckily most of this test is about the anatomy of the heart, and i know a good amount, hopefully i cna pull off a D, that i can make up.

gallbladder ultrasound came back negative. sigh. I just want to get this chit diagnosed and start treatment. won't get to take my other test for another week, lame. found out it wasn't the cool one where I get to swallow a pill that takes pix, instead I drink some chalky liquid and they take xrays as it goes down. too bad for them I'm just gonna throw it back up

I guess we'll be seeing more of Aaron on in the future, after waking up in the middle of the night from little Arthur, putting him back to sleep, and then having nothing to do except post here
