I'd imagine a full sheet to weigh in the neighborhood of 65-70lbs.

Or a little less but feels like more due to its unusual size. Of course it is a coordination thing too, I did some sheetrock taping for a quick buck in the summer and on the first day had a not so easy time carrying one sheet of rock. 3 weeks later I carried 3 at a time so I didn't have to backtrack. Glad I am not still doing that though.

Ti-89 isnt even made anymore so i had to spring for the Ti-89t

the thing is you have to do it in class...and i'll probably need it for college anyway so im gonna bite the bullet and get one.

We were not allowed anything more than a basic scientific calculator in school... if we were caught using anything else we would get zero on the project/test/assignment and be subject to disciplinary action.

Full sheet of 3/4 actually weighs 97lbs. WOW! Google FTW!

I pimp a TI-86, never used it except for like 1 chapter in calc 1, and couldn't use it in chemistry. You'll find for most intro/midlevel college classes you can't use a programable calculator.

In America, laziness is an addiction and standard affair. That's why we're all becoming dumb and fat.

I work parking at my job at school (one of 'em), I'm about the only person who can add up the totals when cashing out in their head. Its quite sad actually, everyone else asks for a calculator, and then I add it for them in my head and am done by the time they get it in the calculator.

It is quite pitiful.

Precisely... when you don't use a computer, you are forced to actually know WTF you are doing.

and i know my wood...lol...

but here's a bit of info..

"The primary drawback to this product is weight. A 3/4" x 4' x 8' sheet can weigh as much as 70 to 90 pounds per sheet. The density of the core is expressed as the weight of a one cubic foot (1'x1'x1') block of the material. Therefore, an MDF sheet using a 48# (pound) core, will weigh 96 pounds. (48"x96"x3/4"= 2 cubic feet)"

so it really depends upon the core weight, but most we buy weigh in around 95pds.

which leads me to say, and i wasn't really going to, just infer it, that chris is full of shit when he said he picked up three sheets at one time by himself. one at a time, absolutely, two at a time? ummm, i'd wager no...three? yeah right....

maybe 300pds on a bar, sure...but a 49"x97" sheet of wood?? no way....

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

Kent, Do you understand how I did it?

I didnt physically pick up all three.

One end was on the tail gate, the other on the ground. This means that the majority of the straight picking up 300lbs was a straight dead lift. The rest i had physics on my side as it was basically a giant heavy lever with the vulcrum being first at the tail gate and then at the wheel wells.

Physics > all when loading chit.

Ive yet to clean over 200lbs, jerk over 175, and I rep with 135. I usually do 3 sets of 10 reps...by the last set i am pooped.

And what is the status on that sub and all?

:)

shanna honestly expects me to pay 1/2 of the fee to end her lease just because i'm the guarantor (sp?)

"her lease?"-----from what I have heard from YOU----you are the one living there now and not the one that feels threatened-----I will pay the whole damn "Fee" and you 2 can be done and overwith---if you have a problem with that---please call----I will expect your half paid to ME---not Shanna--I am tired of hearing the stories---not just from Shanna either.

Im too tired to go somewhere yet too awake to go to sleep.

This friday = teh suck.

I have my parent's house to myself, with one of them 3,000 miles to the east, and the other 3,000 to the west, for the duration of the weekend.

Debauchery, anyone?

:)
