might be changing jobs, getting back into the welding/fabrication field. i have an interview/weld test if i want to go today....

what kind of welding do you do? how'd you get into that?

i've been wanting to learn how to for the longest time

what would you recomend as a good way to learn?

MIG..stainless, carbon, galv steel and aluminum

TIG..stainless, carbon, chrome moly and aluminum

Stick...stainless, carbon and galv steel.

i live by transcraft trailer's...look at a semi hauling a flat bed. if it says transcraft, i built them just like it...lol...that's how i started. small town, big employer...it's kinda like the military around here..every one serves there..lol...

how to learn? take a course. learn the basics..and then throw it all out. grab a machine and practise. the course will get you started, but actually doing it will get you good.

Be careful when welding galvanized steel. You can get really sick if you dont weld in a place with good ventelation (throwing up and extreme nausia). Drinking a glass of whole milk before welding galvanized steel is sapposed to help with the nausia.

Got done working on the enclosure (aka, Nicole) for the night. Got polyfill plastered on the inside, wasen't real surehow to put it on the braces or if it even needed it on the braces, so it looks kinda ugly. Then again, its on the inside of the box and will not be seen so who cares...

Not the speed, but the need.

For that period of time my focus is on the road ... not a f!cking care in the world.

Don't even have time to think about hitting a rock and dieing. No complaints.

I can't imagine going that fast on a bike, even lopping 40 mph off that and it is haulin' ass.

I had to start work at 6am today, didn't quit till 6pm (with a 1hr lunch break) so I'm out like the fat kid in dodgeball.

Need it every once in a while.
