You still didnt fully read the thread....

Books and Lab fees PWN me.

Tuition/Living = Paid.

Unless you can afford that as a playtoy, its a POS to me.

Insurance would be absolutly killer, and the daily use of it I'm sure sucks.

It cant have any less room than my truck. MY knees almost hit the dash and I have 0 room for kick pods of any kind and, of course, i have no back seat.

I am harldy ever bothered by it.

Theres somethign bout having my arse slung 2" above the pavement looking eye level at the wheel hubs of semis as they go by that isn't to fun.

Plus, YOU made it so you don't ahve a back seat in your truck, and I'm sure if you took your box out you could put the seat back farther so your knees wouldn't hit.

If you want a fuel-efficient vehicle, go electric.

'nuff said.

Take that $7000, buy a CRX with a good body and dead engine, throw in a battery bank and electric conversion kit, and really laugh at people at the gas pump.

I'm seriously thinking about doing that for a commuter/project vehicle...with a diesel truck to trailer it for highway travel.

Hell, you could throw a decent electric conversion together for a whole lot less than $7k...I've seen complete retrofit kits for $3k...

VW Diesel ftw. I would own one, if it wasn't such a piece to work on.

I'm not bothered by it, That is the thing. I am extremely comfertable in my truck. I dont like large space. When I drive the Scion or my dad's Silverado I move the seat up close. Not just because I have short stubs for legs but because I like having all instraments withing close reach.

Oh and I like either having my ass 2" off of the ground or 30"+ and nowhere in between.

Diesel's the best compromise...at least you're not quite as stuck with one fuel source.

I know, I'll ride my 29cc scooter...25mph top speed FTW.

So you like sitting close to a 1/2 stick of dynamite for when you get in a wreck?

Explain?

Only problem is I'd need a basement and restaurant hookups to make enough biodiesel to make it cost effective.

The stuff's non-toxic, but the process of making it puts you in close proximity with some nasty stuff.

My truck can run off of ethanol but I dont feel like getting in trouble with the feds and nobody around here sells lab grade in high quantities for cheap.

Trouble with the feds for running ethanol? Guess all those guys in the corn belt better stop selling it at all the stations.

If I knew how to make It I would (I know straight vedtable oil will work if it isnt too cold). Ive probably been close proximity with things a lot more dangerous.

Producing it. ;)

You can get an license to make ethanol fule but it takes some serious equpitment to make 99% ethanol and the license cost more than 1000 gallons of gas right now.

Your Ranger cannot run straight ethanol without modification anyways.

95% will work alone but generally will not mix with gasoline.
