I tried rebuilding my carb yesterday, would've worked better if they sent the correct kit

hopefully the correct one will come in tomorrow

That sort of chit drives me nuts.

yeah, well, it didn't help that the carb I have is not the original, and they couldn't identify it by the numbers on it so they picked it up and were trying to find a rebuild kit that looked like it matched

but on a happier note, before the attempted rebuild, I drove the Camaro down to my friend's shop (about 15 miles) with no problems whatsoever :)

Ha. 21 sq inches of port area:

.73cuft box -> .65cuft after sub displacement

2.395cuft of wood and port

I only used a single 4" port (~12.5 sq inches) for a 12" TC2+ (basically a RL-i) which is supposed to be plenty of area for it, but it'll only be getting 300-350w rms

I wish I got 20mpg...

More like 12-13.

I used to get around 18-22 highway..........depending on how i drove

I wish I got 20mpg...

More like 12-13.

18-19 here, 20+ would be great

In the Mazda ... ~ 45mpg on the highway @ 68-80mph. Running around the city ~ 25-33mpg.

I'd be lucky to back out of the driveway and not drop a tank in the bloody Silverados. The IROC is worse.

Needless to say, we have both been taking the bikes to work lately.

The way I look at it though ... it cost me $125 to fill the truck before gas prices shot way up, now I pay $140 (an extra $15 per tank). If I fill up twice a month, that's an extra $30 per month. Whoop dee f!cking doo ...

Steve those picks are awesome looking. I used to do that with my buddy who had a lifted 2 door tahoe. We had good times ;)

Those Mac monos are nice, BTW :)

Actually pretty cheap...usually those go for double that.
