according to ben and kevin, teh strokers must suffer from serious build quality issues as they aren't the biggest subs on the planet. damn ramos, i though you knew that? in order for the sub to be good, and get loud, it must have a huge motor! and cost more too!

and the strokers, well, they were a nice spl accident. i mean, they were originally built for theaters, right? but shove a sub designed for 1000-3000ft^3 room into the cabin that might have 70ft^3, and you get serious output.

My experience/frustration from this week.

L/R eq is >> Eclipse, for that reason alone I personally would recommend the 880 over any Eclipse head for an active setup. Perhaps if you were lucky and had an on axis install with equal PLD's in your kicks it wouldn't be as necessary, but I now have my stage dialed in better in my truck than I can get it in the car

Obviously the H701, P9, DCX 730, and DCX2496 are better solutions yet again. *tries hard to not buy one

Same reasoning behind using Altec Voice of the Theater stuff now for stereo Won't run into problems with loss of dynamics or compression...
