Read a review on the 9887.. sounds promising. I'm glad Alpine decided to bring out Bass Engine Pro again.

I talked with Supa last night for the first time in a while and he said he got to mess around with the 9887 for a while I guess at his friends house or something. Said he didn't care for it but he and I disagree on a lot of things, lol. Course some things we do agree on so maybe it isn't all that great. Only time will tell.

I wouldn't take anything he likes or dislikes with more than a grain of salt. As far as I know he has never actually finished an install; however, in this case I don't think it can touch the 880 from reading through the manual.

from what i have read , it only lacks the seperate left and right eq's that the 880 has. I'm interested to see what it can and can't do . I have heard talk of it controlling the 701. I have also heard that this was false , and it couldn't control it directly. :)

I like the L/R eq. Silly to me that they released a system without one.

I'm surprised that the site hasnt seen a flood of traffic since ca.com is down

1" square tubing frame + 1.5" of MDF bolted to the rear parcel shelf should be enough to hold one, or possibly two 40lb woofers right?

my rear deck doesn't have any reinforcements and it's holding up the 8's and their boxes, probably atleast 40 lbs each

I'm physically falling apart ... or so it seems. Definitely going to the doctor on Tuesday to get everything looked at. Guess that's what happens when you don't go for the little things - everything compounds and all of a sudden you get hit by a shitwave of shit.
