On the computer speakers (about 10 pages ago to lazy to quote it) I was definitely thinking a MLI65 would fit the bill as a computer sub. Could you guys show me an amp or whatever that would be suitable (new used whatever just want to see one with some specs)

if you wish to use a sub, don't use the passive line out of a plate amp for a high pass filter. This speaker must have an active crossover, and in most cases that is going to come from a HT receiver.

this really through me off, I thought a crossover was a crossover, whats the difference in the passive line out and the active crossover.

On a 1/4 Wave enclosure, find wavelength of Fs of the driver, then divide by 4, stuff the length of the line, driver at one end, open at other end.

This is my current understanding of how to build a 1/4wave (correct me if I'm wrong), my question is how does the size of the line (high/width relation) affect the amplitude of the wave produced? Is there some magic ratio that I'm forgetting or something? Or is there a link on where to read more on this? Or just tell me I'm a fricking idiot if I've got it bass ackwards
