Any idea if this repair is possible and what sort of price it might be?

Probably more than I want to deal with, but thought you would be the one to ask.

It's hard to tell exactly bad the damage is from the picture. Looks like somebody got hungry and took a bite :D seriously though by the shape( circular shape just likea motor cowl ) and location of the damage . It looks as if the power head of the motor has been pushed into it somehow. Which would make me want to investigate further. Just from looking at the picture alone there is probably a 4-5 grand worth of repairs there. :)

Okay, more than its worth then. Thanks for the quick estimate. They have it listed for $15k, if I could buy it for a song I might be interested but that is far from a song. I would guess the book on it to be around $28k so that hidden damage probably adds up to it or close anyway.

Ramos is everywhere . :D I'm trying to hunt down a small inexpensive linear actuator. I know inexpensive and linear actuator don't belong in the same sentence. :)

I am working on designing one, but it will be very small and very pricey.

I need 12-14" of stroke :(

i realised something on monday, while working with fg...

ramos must be a very patient man if he manages such work with fg.

Nah , it's the constant buzz I have going from the resin and fiberglass coarsing through my veins :)

I use my hand for that.

Would you mind being welded to the rear parcel shelf in a camry then ? :D

i'm fond of the small of resin :grouphug:

uhm, if dave has a 220 outlet i can bring up a stick welder, i'm supposed to bring it up for the roomies anyway.

You know I didn't even think about that , my mig welder is 220 as well :(

we use 220v for everything. 110v is for cowards.

Ah, wth with how fast Dave changes cars it isn't like I will be there all that long. :D

He bought this one though . No more fleecing , I mean leasing :)

And countries that do many things backwards.

i'd move out of this country if i had the chance :)

i believe things will get better only in about 30 years, when all the generations that lived under comunism will be dead.

too many people stuck on the "the country needs to give me this or that" mentality. and there's the laziness, lack of work ethic, the simple fact that most of the work force emigrated :(

Was his lease actually up on the others? Seems too fast, but I suppose he could have done the super short term lease.

Not sure , I'm just the lowly work bitch man :Dcinderella cinderella all I hear is cinderella :)
