yep, when he was selling me on the .38 super i told him i really liked the .45 so far, plenty of knockdown power and didn't kick as bad as my dad's 9mm. he then goes into the physics of the 9mm and why it's not that great of a round, explains how the .38 super is cartridged different for less kick and then just rubs it in by telling me his gun held 3x the ammo of mine.

I'll probably get ahold of him later this year or early next and start practicing with him, then shoot a couple competitions sometime next year.

i like the .45s. lots ole thump. i really enjoy shooting my g21sf as well. talk about smooth. it's only the second glock i've ever fired, the other being a g22 (.40s&w), and i hated it. bu this g21sf is the butter. and packing a 13 rd double stack, it's got plenty of bang.

i did too, until i bought and shot this one. i figured, even if i didn't like it, i could recoup most, if not all, the funds i spent on it.

weird technology? first i've heard of this. you refering to the rifling, or something else?

speaking of rifling, i need to look into the prgressive stuff s&w is using on the 460. dunno if it's on the 500 or not, but it's supposed to be pretty pimp shit. and i guess it needs to be, with the right loads, one can achieve over 2000fps out of a 5" barrel, and be accurate. that's just pimp.

yea, the barrel isn't round, it's got like a hexagonal cut or some chit, never really understood it (seems to me like gas would pass beside the bullet and cause it to not shoot the bullet as fast. But there was some test showing that the glock shooting the same round as a 1911 and the glock had much better bullet speeds.

But there was some test showing that the glock shooting the same round as a 1911 and the glock had much better bullet speeds.

a state cop friend has a chrono, i'll try and get a few measurments.

but i bet your thinking hex barrel when i believe it's hex rifling. not 100% for sure, but i can't see a barrel NOT being round. seems if it wasn't, not only would gas escape, but it would throw the bullet into a wobble vs a tight spiral.

and the s&w 460 mag is indeed the fastest handgun on the planet, save some one shot tc contender magnum rifle caliber.

you're probably right about the rifling, i was more interested in the results and kind of pissed that it was on a gun i have no desire to own. I have a friend with at least one glock (he was looking for another about 6mo ago) i need to get him to come down and shoot some.

So going to the liquor store I raced a late model big v6 Nissan Altima and got beat by about a car and a half, with a couple of quite cute chicks in it. Didn't get any numbers though

I drive fairly aggressively anyways and I accelerated to keep up with them a little bit going down one of the main roads in town, they they went past me, so then I pushed down on the loud pedal a little harder and got past them. Needless to say I was granted with a red light then and proceded to roll into the loud pedal pretty hard and noticed she had jumped on it so I put the pedal to the metal got the lead and was pulling and then she just pulled out in front and continued gaining. It was great, the chicks were giggling as I drove past and gave them a thumbs up (I was with my roommates who did the same).

Oh yea, I drive a stock '90 1/2 ton chevy with the 305 and the auto.

That got me pretty well stoked.
