i've heard some v8's in town and i must say i love the sound.

but a big honkin v8 gets pretty expensive to own in this part of the world..

Diesel?

grand cherokee 5.2

just a few :D

all petrol

never payed too much attention to big diesels.

over here, diesels are far more popular compared to petrol engines. maybe it has something to do with the fact that anyone can get diesel cheaper than the pump price.

It's a byproduct of GM's TBI, more or less just a constant vacuum leak. My truck is the same way as is every other one I've worked on or heard. Sometimes you can kick it down. The throtle blade shaft is also prone to bending over time causing the TB to stick in certain areas.

:orly3:

It also seems to be shifting short out of 1st gear, especially at full throttle, know any fix for that?

If it's short shifting at full throttle, it's got to be in the valve body, but don't quote me on that as when it comes to automatics, I know enough to build or rip them apart, but when it comes to fluid control, I'm pretty much lost.

Ryan1: On a TBI vehicle, do you know the fix for the Throttle Air Bypass controller being messed up? The problem with my S-10 ('89 4.3L) is that the throttle air bypass is not adjusting, both sides are getting juice so it won't move like its supposed to.

Haven't got a clue. Sorry.

it amazes me how difficult it can be to find diesel around here.

Tom: Have you seen anything related to Blazer/S-10 suspension improvement without really lowering it? I'd like to improve the suspension since I do tend to like corners, but I don't want to really lower it since it is a 4x4.

*Side note, one of the cars I'd like to own one day is a lowered 4x4 S-10 blazer with a big block and a power train to stand up to hard 4x4 launches on pavement to really kickass on the street*

Improve as to make it handle (corner) better?

Poly bushings all around

performance shocks

you might be able to find stiffer springs that don't lower it

fast ratio steering box

good tires

stiffer sway bars

Look on some Typhoon/Cyclone sites. That's about as close as you'll come. Granted, they were AWD and not 4x4, but it''ll be close enough to knowing how YOUR vehicle should behave.

Tom, I've got a pretty snazzy ides for your coax tweet mounts. The only problem is if they get build the way I'm thinking, they don't deserve to be hidden. :)

It involves aircraft grade ply, mortise/tenon, and a few other things. :D

haha someday I plan on making new door panels, but that won't be for a long time so they'll have to stay hidden :(

1996 Impala SS with Flowmaster Delta 50s, 2.5" Dynomax pipes, and no resonators

what are dynomax pipes and resonators...

thanks

BTW, love the sound, that flow master tone, and the 50 series seams to be quite on the low end but when you open it up you know.

Dynomax makes 2.5" mandrel bent pipes for my car to replace the stock pipes

and my car has resonators from the factory which quiet the exhaust some

Matt, what tweet0rz are you using ? morel mdt-29 or 30 ?

I have the MDT-29's in my towers :)

how do you like them ?

:D

Love them. I don't have any complaints.

29s are what i have as well, friggin awesome tweet, i like them wayyyyy more than the seas 27tdfc (not sure on the letters). Though i do think one is finally on its way out. But that was my fault, not the tweet's.
