The idea of a CA.com meet kind of scares me, in all honesty.

There are a lot of people on there I definitely don't want to meet, even be in the same state as.

I met a couple of them :(

I do have the bugaboo to do a small 3 channel amp, 75x2 A/B 450x1 D.

5 channel > 3 channel.

If you're selling to DIY'ers, a 3 channel needs another amp to run active, and if you're selling to the "Iwanna make it go bang bang loud y0" crowd, 450 watts won't cut it.

Oh yeah I know all to well. Just something cool to me about a stout small foot print 3 channel. I would prefer not to focus on ^^^ crowd. But they are the ones who turn it over fast. Heck, in 2 years, 1kw on the sub channel won't be enough for them. The more I mess with the idea, it just seems like full range class d will be needed to stay under surf board size. I love the Zapco 650.6, wish I owned one, but not strong enough and just too damn long.

Two years? How about now :P

The world needs a new surfboard :)

that audison 5.1k does:

4/4/4 ohm 2x50 2x170 1x750

4/4/2 ohm 2x50 2x160 1x1150

4/2/2 ohm 2x50 2x250 1x1030

would make a perfect single amp setup in a 3-way application. chit if they add an extra 2 channels on the a/b it would be the perfect amp for 4-way..using 1 amp!

i dont think there is any SQ'ers (lol made up term) that would need more than 1000 watts of power to a sub.

Meeting CA.com would be intriguing. I'm anti-social by nature and sometimes when I come online, I get tricked into thinking there are normal people on the other end...then I see these Lord Baccus looking characters and start to wonder.

Nope, although I think someone once mentioned that he, jntar, and myself look alike. Maybe I'm mistaking Jim for someone else, though.
