ryan2, that's usually howit works. and they'll howl over how guns kill people, like they are automated, and forget it actually takes a person to operate the damn thing.

i still want a jeep cj-7 with a 4.0 motor :)

as a sunday car.

and a mk1 golf gti as a daily driver.

*sure, keep dreaming*

my dad just recently bough a 99 4 door xj with the 4 ltr. 126k on the odometer, it's a solid truck, needs a few things (like me to make it go boom, lol), but overall, i'd own it. i think he paid $3500 for it.

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

good year !

and nice price too :D

if fuel prices and taxes would be low, i'd buy a 4.0 in a heartbeat.

although once you register a car over here, you pay taxes for the motor it was registered with. so a motor swap from an identical model and identical year means same taxes.

but i just can't let go of the 2.5 diesel fuel consumption :D

almost the same torque as the 4.0 ;)

that is just nasty, lol.

ok car guys, what would you do...

1) wait for the new camaros and more then likely pay $5-7000 over msrp as is rumored? and not have a clue what color, engine or anything i might get for under $32k.

2)buy an 07 (might be an 08) shelby gt mustang that's here in town? it's black with gold stripes, faux hood sccop, hood pins, blacked out torque thrust style wheels, 90mm cold air kit, chipped and exhaust done, under $32k. oh yeah, 5 spd with a hurst shifter.

i don't have a clue, not a ford guy, but the wife really digs the stang.

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :slayer:

Not buying way UNDER msrp is asinine, hell I think it is dumb to buy a new car and pay over invoice and usually would ask for some of the hold-back as well.

As for your gas savings. 300mi a/wk = 15600mi a /yr at 15mpg you use 1040 gallons of gas, at 23mpg you use 678 gallons, net savings of 362 gallons. @$3gal = $1086, and @$4 = $1448

A realistic loan (4yr only as more than 4 gets you in financial trouble and serious upside issues) on $32k is $800 (not including tax and any extra's). So your saving is best case scenario a whopping two months of your payment. It won't save you shit to change cars, when you look at the extra maintenance/wear and tear on a car like the camaro or mustang you will be spending more and not less. Don't forget the more expensive insurance as well ;)

Not saying you shouldn't buy one, just want to make sure you realize the minimal ramifications. Personally out of those two choices I negotiate hard on the stang and ignore the fact completely that a camaro might exist. Paying over msrp is peeing money, if you want one wait two years at least.

I do, just because my ex gave me shit about how Tech fell asleep and UGA kicked our ass in last year's bowl game...:(

And in her sport (swimming), there's no contest, we're just bad. But so is the rest of the ACC...maybe excepting NCSU.
