Pffft, maggies are actually fairly cheap. You strike me as a guy who would want more midbass out of them though Kent. I think a pair of BIB's with some 6" or 8" drivers would better suit you.

i don't even know what a BIB is, lol. but the wife is wanting to change up the living room and get rid of teh rack system.

I agree, don't think they would be your cup of tea Kent. Pretty much geared towards playing acoustical or at least natural music. I myself would add some sort of stereo midbass/bass bins to a pair if I had them
