You could run it off of your current wire... depends on what the amp is setup to do. If you're getting 2500 watts w/test tones out of the thing into a 1ohm load, you're only looking at ~170amp draw. If my math is right.

it's when you go square wave, or well below 1ohm that you start cooking alternators & 1/Ott.

If my math is right (it's ealry still) it's around a 250A pull for 3.5kw.

Thats not a constant draw either. With music, you could prolly pass that on @ 200amp fuse fer a while (hello Meca).
