Its all about the show, not the parts to make it go.

I know that as soon as my parents get a new big screen, which should be within the next year or two I'm going to make sure I can arrange to completely redo there surround sound, get rid of the Bose stuff, and get rid of the left front speaker, left left front speaker, right rear speaker, right right rear speaker, and slightly off center, center channel. TV is big and in a corner so its kind of awkward. Will be all passive but will be nice enough to were we actually enjoy using it for movies. Something like 1000W plate amp and 15 for sub duty (our surround sound is really a complete hack job right now w/ teh Bose)

Back to this passive volume control and upgraded sound card. Could i use Dells little side slot for an upgraded sound card? I'd rather not dig into the laptop to upgrade

USB is an option as well.

Got the job. But now they're going to want me to use equip that we sell. And i dont really want an eclipse, jvc, or clarion deck.

For me to whore, perhaps due to internet stupidity I need to do a CTRL-V (paste) and then and ALT-S on every page. If there was a quicker way I'd whore more.

In fact the stupid alt-s is driving me nuts, the threads on CA.com don't have the fix and I can't find it here. It is making forums frustrating.
