i wouldn't do it, almost any shade of blue is gonna be very rough on the eyes.

on another note the pucker that i bought the cheap mufflers and cat off of has yet to send me the egay total but last night filed a non-paying dispute with ebay. and with how great ebay is i'm sure it's going to be my ass that gets the negative mark and not his.

If you requested a total from the seller through ebay and didn't receive one, you have nothing to worry about. There should be a record of the requested total. Hopefully , if he did send a total, it didn't get caught in a spam filter somewhere.

Just looked, yep 1.5 din sized face... I would do that in a second actually, I forgot about that model.

Fark yeah :)

whoa, I need to figure out how to do this (the blue gauge lights):

replace the stock lights with blue led's ?

It's not bad on the eyes. The dash in the dub is that shade of blue and it's really nice at night.

With the advent of all the pc controlled shit in cars they both scare me a bit regrettably--but that really holds for all new cars, the Cadillac has less cpu control but what they use I trust less since the general is in charge. I do find the Bm'er a lot more enjoyable to drive, it makes the transition from beating on it to civilized daily driver amazingly well. I would expect the longevity of the BM'er to destroy the Cadillac too. The whole IRS is a bit shady on it and can't take even mild power adders which doesn't bold well for it holding out in the long run. On the other side, if you part with your cars before they hit any serious mileage and don't abuse the chit out of them I think both would probably be fine. They are both fun to drive, the Cadillac just isn't nearly as refined as the BM'er...not even close.

I'm going to keep it completely stock and not beat the crap out of it. I too have heard that the IRS is a weak point. Naturally, I will have to go over both of them top to bottom in person, and I'll do that to the CTS this month. I think there is a CTS-DI at the dealership ... I'll take a look/drive whenever I get the truck in for service.

From a physiological standpoint, there have been numerous studies suggesting that blue light can damage our eyes. Blue light can damage the cells of the retina, which can eventually lead to macular degeneration. Just recently have there been a couple studies popping up stating that blue light is fine for your eyes, but they do not appear to have any consistent or convincing evidence justifying their reasonings.

Nevertheless, you are probably correct in saying that a faint blue light on the dash of a vehicle would be fine. If it is fairly bright and you are looking at it quite often (lots of night driving), it might cause problems down the road. If the light is that bright, however, I would be worried about being pulled over and written a ticket first.

Im broke...

Spent $1600 on the truck this weekend...got another $1300 to go, and have to save for a trip to LA the end of the month.

I hate bright dashes... completely throws your eyes off from what they really should be doing, focusing on the road.

Hmm, I don't want to be burning up my retinas, but don't some production cars come with blue dashes?

It's more like "Wow, look at her, I've never seen a real boob before. Let's get drunk and fight each other! Dude, your clothes aren't new enough."

Maybe they actually are smart but you wouldn't know it to hear them talk.
