just found out about some "Old tube mcintosh amps, sitting on the shelf with other old stuff like a 15+ year old B&K analyzer"

might be able to pick up some very nice gear, gotta talk to the guy directly though

Price? :)

ryan, no idea on price. From the way the person talked they don't really care about the gear, it's at tech so it could be stuff that's sat there since it was new

Some of the absolute worst news today...did my appointment to check my hearing and somewhere in the last 3 years I have lost too much bandwidth on the top end...trouble hearing anything above ~17 kHz. The bottom end is still there, but my heart sank a lot when I got the news. :(

Neil, if you are older than 20 that is really pretty normal. Do realize to that if you were listening to music on the way in it may not be gone, but just "masked". To amuse yourself test your hearing on your own right away in the morning and then go for a drive with the windows down for 20 minutes and check it again. It wouldn't be unusual to lose a kHz or even 2.

is it a problem that I almost always drive with the windows down?

I cannot believe how difficult it is to find an aluminum water bottle here.

Thats odd, I've found lots here and I've never looked for them. Have you tried online, amazon.com has some.

Nothing locally. SIGG makes nice bottles, but their website does not ship to Canada. Amazon.com carries them, Amazon.ca doesn't :puzzled:
