True, it was funny hearing the announcers in Nascar talking about the foreign car entry when the Camry has the most American made parts out of all of the cars on the track. (not the race car, the real one--of course the race cars are pretty much 100% American).

Just awesome how the race cars don't share one single part with the production cars they're named after :rolleyes:

They should bring back the rule about having to sell them as a requirement to race them.

stock vehicles from manufactures, must sell at least 500 units to be legal for racing, only minimal mods allowed, stock block, transmission, and rear end required

Back in the day, NASCAR raced stock cars. well, the teams did modify them, but they were very similar to what could be purchased from a dealership

in fact, the manufacturers had to sell a certain number of the cars so that they would be allowed to race

the "race on sunday, sell on monday" philosophy at its finest
