true. but for that car, there are a crapton of 'glass body parts, 'glass seats, lexan, lightweight wheels, etc.

You can get most of the things mentioned for the same cost as a decent turbine setup.

Throw in a new cam (cams?) and change out the timing chain while you are in there.

yah.... valve crash is not so pretty. lot of machining & labor. Every 80k... IIRC.

Many fiberglass parts will weigh damn near the same unless you're going for a race setup only. Once you start adding window regulators, motor, etc. It brings all the weight back up. Not to mention, with the amount of FG used in most panels, they end up weighing only a couple pounds lighter than stock. Not worth it IMO. Upping the power is simpler.

Too many variables for us to be arguing this anyway.
