Saranac Black & Tan

very nice :-)

$3.45/6pack makes it even better

I'll have to look for that next time I'm at the liquor store.

they have it on clearance here is the only reason it was that cheap.

gaahhhh, I think I got a bit of hot sauce up my nose

just be glad it wasn't someof the crazy extracts

i reallllly wanna line one of the dark shot glasses with the .357 to watch someone scream after doing a shot.

liquor + 5million scovall units..... = funny for me

I think that would be defined as cruel and unusual punishment. :)

Or assault :D

cruel and unusual and assault, i'm sure it's probably breaking at least one other law too.

but damn how funny it'd be. and i could play stupid, aside from the laughing

I know I would get my ass kicked, I'm not sure I could stop laughing long enough to fend him off.

Well, while he's convulsing that should give you enough time to make your escape.

actually the extracts aren't nearly as bad as you'd imagine. i think it's because they digest easily.

i've found jalapenos to be one of the worst to make its way through your digestive tract. if i had to guess i'd say it's got a lot of cellulose that protects the capsa...whatever the word is for the hot shit

I know it's an uphill battle because there are some big gun people here. The only thing I can do is speak from experience.

I enjoy shooting guns at a range or out at the farm. It's not a bad hobby. But this notion of protection scares me. You made a mention of illegal guns being used for crime. Where do these illegal guns come from? I assume that these are guns stolen from people who own the guns legally and then sold on a black market...and if that is the source, then I don't see how allowing more people to buy and own guns makes things any safer. I know here in Canada that a large portion of seized guns used in crimes are smuggled illegally into Canada from the US. I can't remember the statistics off the top of my head, but they were staggering. Our gun laws are much tougher, thus making it harder for anyone to get their hands on a gun and the gun-related crimes per capita show it. It's a numbers game...the more guns you put out there, the more guns that are put into the wrong hands. Keep in mind that an extremely diverse group of people can go buy a gun very easily legally in the US, whether they are of a sane mind or not. And once they have the gun, what stops them from using it for whatever they want to aside from the law? You with your gun? Is that safe?

Second concern...escalation. I've used this example before and maybe it's flawed...but let's suppose someone breaks into my house intending to rob me. They have a gun, intending to keep me under control. But I surprise them with a gun of my own...and they shoot me. The answer shouldn't be putting a gun in my hands...it should be working harder to keep the gun out of the other person's hands.

Third concern...if you are in such a position that it is necessary to carry a concealed weapon to feel safe, I have to wonder why anyone would want to live there.

Now, as far as rights and constitutions go...yeah, it's in the constitution, but gay marriage is also outlawed and I don't agree with that either. Although I'm sure there are others here who do agree with it. :)

Bet that stuff burns like crazy coming back out too. :)

heheheh....

funny story....

my friend had some of that million+ scoville death sauce and we tried just a drip and it stung but was kind of bareable

but then he decided to coat a small square of bread and eat that....

burnt coming out both ways that evening and he said for the next 24 hours his sweat burned

Hmmm, I just saw a report from the DoJ that says:

"A fifth of the victims defending themselves with a firearm suffered an injury, compared to almost half of those who defended themselves with weapons other than a firearm or who had no weapon."

So although that seems counter-intuitive to me, I guess I will have to retract my thoughts on escalation.

Hmmm...according to some statistics on Wikipedia, there are a few examples (Washington, D.C., Hawaii, New Jersey) that show a fairly strong correlation between an increase in gun control and an increase in gun-related crimes, although this was reported by a conservative (read: gun supporters) think tank. So I don't know what to think.

Maybe we're just nicer up here?

Canada requires all firearms to be registered with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and all firearms owners to be licensed with the Canadian Firearms Centre. The licensing requires extensive background checks, that applicants take the Canadian Firearms Safety Course, and that all firearms must be stored locked and unloaded. There is some concern in Canada about the smuggling of handguns into Canada across the border from the United States where firearms are more easily purchased due to loose identity checks at US gun shows.

Just so we're on the same page.

Remember Neil, nothing you own is worth dying for, but for some it is worth killing for.

But statistically speaking, I don't have to worry about that unless it is by my own hand. I don't know anyone on my street who even owns a gun. But give them all guns....well shit, I guess I better have one, too.

Difference in cultures, I suppose.

Would look better without the whitewalls and colored wheels, IMO.

sorry, i think it's god awful ugly

i pretty much always hate flames.
