JVC tends to over do it with their remotes

chit, I don't even know how to set the bloody crossover on my Alpine 9813. You have to press about 18 buttons before you can adjust it ... or something like that.

I don't have the front components on an amp yet. So I've got really low end running through my midbass. Sweet.

Thats why i like pioneer :D

I never have used an internal HU X-over. In fact, I've only owned 1 unit that had it. I use all dedicated outboard stuff. To me, the HU should be nothing more than a means of transport.

The neat thing about this JVC is it comes with a program to enable you to record MP3s onto DVD-Rs. 1000 songs on 1 disc, how could I refuse. May be lacking in some aspects, but for me, it's about convenience.

I was looking at that. Looks very nice. Too bad I am about to get my Pioneer iPod adapter and have 40 gigs of music at my fingertips. Don't even have to buy dvds either.

Your way ends up being cheaper though. The adapter is like 100 bucks.
