So for over a year since I've had this phone (razr) I haven't been able to send/receive text messages, no problem to me... Then randomly last week I can get them? wtf?

I know for media messages usualy you have to send a message to yourself first before you can send or receive. I don't knwo if some phones have text work the same way.
