All we did for process improvement was do a shitload of run and spec charts like that.

  • Chill- Lemme break it down as simple as I can on some of us here. The IHoP is like a big dysfunctional family. -M5 would be the uncle everyone respects and takes advice from. We may not like how he p

I'd imagine for sensors and stuff you'd be concerned about distribution of observations, whether or not things are in control, going out of control, in specification, etc, etc...

Yeah makes sense.

Like where I used to work, there were machines that counted parts, possibly thousand an hour by dropping through an array of eyes and then packaged them. Pretty crazy stuff. Lock washers that were 1/4" in diam. and fell through the sensors and were counted. Not 100% accurate but accurate to +/-5%. Could use stats there given a certain batch and how accurate all the counts are.

It made sense in my head. I'm going on little sleep and having an even harder time going to bed now :lame:

I have the same problem. Mostly with reading though. I think I would rather have someone verbally explain something to me rather than try to make sense out of text.

Whose all in for EE now?

I'm just curious after all the EE talk tonight. Thinking about continuing my education and going for EE now that I almost have my AAS

I'm just a wannabe :D

The actual degree I'll end up with is basically as close to general business/IT as I could get, with a minor in operations management...

Currently sitting at work, I spent yesterday doing wire management for one of my buddies. Its another expert IASCA sq car, so it's one of those stupid projects where the wires are tied every 4" exactly and the writing on the wiring has to all be facing the same way and all visible and parallel. It wasn't too much fun but the truck is starting to sound really good. Just waiting on amps now.

I'm doing time for EE currently. Not to fond of school either.

I've heard that from a few other people too.

How much math do you need?

How much math do you need?

for ME at ASU, you need:

Calc 1, 2, and 3, Linear Algebra, and DiffyQs

Tom is a ME if I remember correctly, Jim is... not sure.... :)

yep, and either Travis or MK or both is also a ME (I think)

I don't know names here yet. Just usernames. Unless they are obvious, like mine for example!

ME? Mechanical?

EE here is calc 1-3, and Difficult Equations.

Basically you get raped with no lube.

Repeatedly.

Lol my buddy was going to Plattville for EE and ge said that the math required was a single course away from having a major in Math also.

CH E: Chemical Engineering

NE: Nuclear Engineering.

Acidburn > Tom

Topgun > Ryan2

Tirefryr > Ryan1

JimJ > Jim

///M5 > Sean

MKader > Michael Kader (think its michael...)

ANeonRider > Scott

the list goes on...

And of course, Chevy350TPI is Steve, aka Capt. Canada, Denim is Aaron, SSaudio is Mark.

mrogowski is also Mark

electrodynamic, ndmustang, nikuk are all Nick

dbfan, goddyd4me, soundsplinter are all Mike

I'll do my best with names

It's like meeting people at parties. I have to be reminded the next 3 or 4 times I see them for it to sink in. lol

Now that I figured out you were talking about engineering was too much math for me too, I went from Chemical engineering to Pharmacy.
