Turbo's don't really whine, ironically enough they actually lower your exhaust dB level. They do have the blow off valve sound and on the bigger turbos (commonly found on camaro's, drag cars and supras) you can actually hear a sucking noise.

and on another note I'm glad they don't change the sound when you put in a sequential transmission or it would sound a little like

Actually turbos do produce a whining sound when spun fast enough. Just like blowing pressurized air over a small fan and when the blades move fast enough they create the whizzing sound.

Both my T-birds, and Cougar whined with no BOV. Superchargers and blowers are ridiculously loud in comparison though, although one's with helical gears aren't as bad.

So I'm contemplating selling the Cobra to build something.
