I have so much drama going on in my life dude that I bet I have you beat. It's ridiculous how much I have right now. I'm laying low just because of everything going on. :coffee: :coffee:

Great, NC DMV changed their regs on antique registrations again...second time this year.

All because the former commissioner got caught with his hand in a good 'ol boy scam, makes everyone else jump through hoops...:(

Sean, thanks for the info.

So my test drives were rather uneventful as the past few days have yielded nothing but torrential downpours, so it wasn't the best for performance tests aside from testing the AWD systems.

The Audi was very nice, but it has a quirkiness about it I am not ready for. Too many buttons and gadgets and no matter how I adjusted the seat, I could not get comfortable in the car. I loved the power and the Quattro, but all in all, not something I would buy.

The Charger was okay. I really like the looks, but aside from that, it left a lot to be desired. I like it's size, and my inability to really test its performance limits sucked, but I thought it would be a little more luxurious due to its size and all its appointments. Fit and finish were poor, but I went straight to this from the Audi, so I may have been hoping for more. I don't know how they rate on NVH, but this thing had several annoying squeaks and rattles from both the interior and the front end. I did like the fit and feel of the interior. My only gripe is the C-pillars were a huge blind spot issue. I would have really liked to flog this on a cool, dry day.

Now the Volvo I really liked. Like the others I've driven, this thing was dead quiet. There is no hint of 300HP what-so-ever. The AWD system was great, interior was great, it was very roomy, and drove excellent. I think these have the Haldex AWD system, and while it is nice, it seems a little too biased at the front. It could have just been the wet conditions and the TC acting up, but it presented a small amount of torque-steer I did not expect. Overall, this was my best experience of the day, but like the Audi, it has some quirky things I don't like. It must be the European influence.

I propose that we add a new rule in the terms and conditions that requires at least the attempt at proper english. All of this fitardian posting is not doing good things for the site and if the only correction needed was to point them at the rules it would be much healthier.

We could just ban them all...

:peepwall:

I agree with enforcing better english.

Did a pub crawl for a friends 21st last night, left with a 50, have 2$ left this morning. :(

Started off the evening at one of the bars and a couple of guys were playing pool and I was debating on if I could hustle them or not and a chick that I worked with saw me and then bought me a shot and then she specifically instructed me that those were her friends and and I could NOT try to hustle them. Damn women.

I know Mitch Hedberg has been dead for a few years now, but they just released a CD of all new material! Check it out!

21 in less than a month!

<--- too po' for delivery :(

Parents evacuated to my place in Nacogdoches, grandparents evacuated to my uncle's house in Humble.

Ike came within 4 miles of parent's house before it went north. They got maybe 2" of rain and a large pile of twigs in the yard. It barely even scraped my grandparent's trailer.

Ike barreled through East Texas and completely decimated Houston, Polk, Cherokee, Angelina and Nacogdoches counties, taking out power poles, trees, and everything in between. After the winds subsided we went out to survey the damage, two power poles feeding my side of town are down (one is located in a rather deep gully); I can assure you power won't be back on in my apartment until at least sometime Monday afternoon at the very, very, very earliest.

Parents and I had to spend the night without power, as every road out of Nacogdoches was either flooded, covered by fallen trees, or both (my joints still ache from the humidity). Took 7 hours to go 300 miles back home to my parents house, going through Aggie Town and every back road we could find to avoid the traffic on the main roads.

Long story short, after evacuating the coast because of a dangerous hurricane both my grandparents, my parents and myself got hit by a dangerous hurricane 150 and 250 miles inland, respectively.

Footnote: I had no idea there were so many Indians at Lamar

Footnote #02: SFASU has officially rescinded this morning's statement of "since we have power to 99% of our facilities (read: dorms and classrooms have power) we aren't going to bother with canceling classes on Monday" to "classes are canceled on Monday".

Douchebags

Of course you're going to have power, you have a dedicated 138 kV line coming to you
