Tom, you said those rims in my photo thread are bland, do you know any wheels that look good on the silverados?

I'm sure tons do. Really depends on your taste and the look you want to accomplish with your vehicle.

Finally get to quote this post lol. I tried with no damn luck on the cell this weekend.

Tom, I like spokes (5 preferably) and I don't like chrome. I also want the rims to look good on a truck of course.

The biggest plus for the Titan rims is price. Only 300-400 dollars tops for all 4

That's a tough one dude.

I think the Titans aren't an improvement over stock so there's no point in spending the money.

whats tough? the price? I know I won't be able to find anything else in that price range so that kinda goes out the window

just went on a walk through bburg and got bitchy with an old woman (senior citizen)

This really isn't my character but i've had it with people that just want to cause shit, i don't care how old you are.

The gf and i are walking the dog down the huckleberry trail behind a set of apartments here. We're out by a pond, and for the 1.5hrs we were walking we maybe pass 4-6 people. We're out in a huge field playing with the dog. And as we're leaving this woman who is walking goes out of her way to come and start lecturing the gf about leash laws. She starts with ....you do know there's a leash law, right? the gf says yes and that we have a leash with us if we need it but we were letting the dog run. Well she goes on about how the law says bla bla bla. The gf is just lowering her head and taking it and that isn't flying with me. The woman was being way too condescending. I step up and ask if she knew that harassment is against the law too? And she says that upholding the law isn't harassment, i told her it wasn't, but impersonating a police officer was a very serious crime and that i hoped she enjoyed her walk, then turned my back on the bitch.

Why can't people just mind their own business? not like the dog ever even came around them, she had to come up to us. I just don't understand people sometimes.

Man, I def understand. Everyone is so involved with what other people are doing wrong its rediculous.

I was driving around with my uncle the other day doing the speed limit and this guy passes me in a bigger truck (like F-550) and my uncle says, "How fast are you going, Michael?" I said "65 why?" He says, "Well how fast do you think hes going?" I already knew exactly what he was getting at so I told him that I really could care less how fast he was driving because he is not bothering me so who cares?

Sadly, it exist within my family too... :(

If you don't endanger anyone I don't care at all what you do.

Werd.

amen, people piss me off

Oh yeah, Ran a 15.8 in The Z this weekend. I was hoping for atleast a second drop (originally was 16.4) but I am currently satisfied until I get more money

Ran 15.885 the first run. Did a 4wd launch the 2nd time and ran 15.865. Also beat some Nissan truck the second time (was probably a 4 cylinder, had a GT-R Logo on the front and a fart muffler out the back) but was my first actual win so I was def excited lol

Nice, 15.8 in a big truck is not bad, not bad at all

:drink40: Thanks... I need a cam and TC

preach on brother preach on!

finally hit 100 mph in the Camaro this afternoon

at 101, the little 6 just didn't have any more rpms even though I kept my foot in it for at least a mile

the suspension felt fine at that speed which was good to know for upcoming modifications

Ha Ha! I wish my six could do that. Hell, I'm surprised the thing still runs. The timing chain is stretched so bad, it's been detonating for as long as I've owned it. It should've popped some holes in the pistons by now. Bitch sounds like a diesel above 1200 in any gear.

Really out of RPMs? wow. I had an '88 cavalier with the 2.8 V6, even a 3 speed, and got it to 115 when I wanted to slow down. So that surprises me.

well the gf's blazer broke down again yesterday. We were on the way back to her house and were in a left turn lane when it just died. Tried restarting it probably 30 times, and about half the time it would start but immediately die even if the pedal was pressed. She called Triple A and it took an hour and 15 minutes for the tow truck operator to get there. All the while people were passing us left and right (literally left and right, about 1/3 passed us in the oncoming traffic lane to our left). Some honked at us and others just sat behind us, and I'm just like um, are you retarded? Do you not understand what hazard signals mean? One guy even pulled up next to us and suggested we turn the hazards on and I'm like, um....they are. I even walked back there at least 3 times to make sure they were working because people kept acting like they weren't on. Then through all this we counted 6, yes 6, police cars drive right by us without stopping. Finally the 7th one did (5 minutes before the tow arrived) and turned on his lights for us since people were obviously too moronic to understand that they have to go around us. There wasn't anywhere to push the thing to off the road, either. So....that was fun. yep. I was hoping to do that on my saturday night.

so my uncle recently died, which sucks really bad, but the kids (his brothers and sisters) are selling some of his stuff and the money goes to the grandkids in the family like it says in the will, and i am going to buy a new vegicle with it, but i can only find 1500's in my price range and they all have 350's in them, anyone know how to get better gas mileage out of those things because its really the only thing holding me back at the moment

Apparently if a woman says it was nice not talking to you for 5 days in a somewhat joking manner when you tell her she is a f'ing idiot (she was being stupid...), you aren't suppose to shoot back 'Want to make it 5 more days?' and walk off...

A well maintained 1/2 ton with the 350 will get around 18mpg on the highway, depending on what it is (4x4, long bed, gearing, etc, etc) you could get 20mpg or so on the highway, but beyond that your pretty well screwed. You've got a 5,000-5,800lb truck that is a flying brick down the highway with a 350ci V8 in it...

In your dreams. Everyone I know with a non-LS Chev is lucky to get 15, and that is downhill with backwind.

He wants better mileage, not to burn up the money in maintenance. :)

Ya'll suck for milage then, my roommate will get 18mpg on the highway with 220,000 on a 90 1/2 ton.

LOL, my GM has cost me about 10x in maintenance for 1/3 the miles.

He is mathematically challenged or drives 45.

I've done quick figures in my head before and he is pretty close on the math, he does drive like an old woman but he excedes the speed limit on the highways. Pure highway miles is not that uncommon to get 16mpg+, now if your driving in town your mileage is pretty well f'ed.
