If water got into the gas in a small carb'ed engine, where would be the first place to start troubleshooting? Fuel filter has been replaced, still won't start.

I'm thinking removing the petcock, cleaning it and maybe replacement if necessary? Disassembly of the carb and cleaning out the main jet?

Take the bowl off the carburetor and drain it.
